"Tottenham Hotspur Limited (the “Club" or “Spurs” has, today, Tuesday 24 May 2022, agreed a capital increase of up to £150m from majority shareholder, ENIC Sports Inc (“ENIC”, via the issue of convertible A Shares and accompanying warrants."
"The investment represents permanent capital, with no ongoing interest cost to the Club, and which may be drawn in tranches until the end of the year. The Club’s independent directors have benefited from its majority shareholder’s ability to invest directly, swiftly and without the extensive due diligence and documentation involved in third party funding.
"Under the agreed structure the A Shares can be converted into ordinary shares. The number of ordinary shares granted to ENIC as a result of the capital increase will vary depending on when the A Ordinary Shares are converted, when the warrants are exercised and valuations at the time."
""If drawn in full, and based on assumptions regarding the above, ENIC’s ownership of the Club could see an increase from its current level of 85.6% to circa 87.5% on conversion. Any dilutive impact is dependent on the number of shares granted and will be shared by all shareholders proportionately and principally by ENIC, the majority shareholder."
Club chairman Daniel Levy added: "The delivery of a world-class home was always a key building block in driving diversified revenues to enable us to invest in the teams and support our ambitions to be consistently competing at the highest levels of European football. Additional capital from ENIC will now enable further investment in the Club at an important time."

club drivel, pr exercise and if Levy's past is to be taken into account, then Arrivederci Antonio, it was nice while you were here...
All driven to paper over the lack to improve the squad, and just pocket more business deals...
This is Levy...Master of smokes and mirrors...Last time Dybala to Spurs myth now?
I'll believe when I see that money translates into quality players for us, the players that Antonio wants...Not the cheap replicas..Not Say Bruno Fernandes and getting Gedson Fernandes.
How much of a gullible bunch are the current Spurs fan base is!
Levy has to show the colour of money first
----------------------------------------------------------------------
so we're raised 150m for what reason?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I am waiting to see what happens with that money...We've been here before
----------------------------------------------------------------------
no we haven't.

30-40m seems our sweet spot right now. Kostic is only rumoured to be 12m.. we should be able to bring in 5 or 6 no problem.

Not delved into the detail but I'd smell a rat. £150m for a c. 1% ownership increase values the club at 15bn which would be 4x MU or CFC which does not pass the sanity test for me so there is something suspicious.
But you guys probably know that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
it's more like 2% so you can halve your figures to begin with. beyond that, it's far more complex than you back of fagpacket valuation.

Yup, my error 2%, still 2x MU or CFC doesn't stack up at a high level.

It is circa 2.8% share, but valuations are just that. Chelsea are not worth £4.5bn but that is the sum quoted for a club who do not own the land on which their stadium sits!
Spurs own far more land in Tottenham than Chelsea do in their part of town, plus Chelsea have never been run with fiscal probity have they🤔😳
Football clubs seem to survive in a different world to other commercial industries, but for how much longer?

Kostic, Fraser, Eriksen and Spence for a total of £22m would be very good business. Bastoni for £60m = £82m for 5 players.
We could easily sign 3 or 4 more. Obviously easier said than done!

no. you are wrong because you actually don't know what you are talking about but are pretending you do...and here is why.
Say I own 9 shares in a house and some one else owns 1. 10 shares, I own 9 making my ownership 90%.
Now the roof needs fixing so to fund this 1 new share is sold and I buy it for 10k. If you take 11 shares at 10k each the house is worth 110k.
What you are doing is this....my 90% ownership (9/10) is now 10/11ths ownership. 10/11ths of something is 90.9%. So my ownership has increased by 0.9%. You are saying that because it cost me 10k to increase ownership by 0.9%, that values the whole house at £1.11m. You are wrong!
Now with Spurs the numbers are much bigger and without knowing all the figures you cannot place a value on it from the figures that are available in this press release But suffice to say that increasing the share in ownership by 2% does not value the club at £7.5bn or anything close to that.
Nice try though. I hope you ain't an accountant.
