The trifle

Roma won a Europa Conference League. Fair play to Mourinho winning it but them winning it is more to do with the fact Uefa opened up another lesser competition for teams like Roma to win. Had Spurs been allowed to continue in it, they'd have had as much chance to win it.

But it's true isn't it? Teams like Roma and Spurs who never win anything now getting more chance to win something due to this competition. It's why Jose's achievement in winning it isn't as great as Wahl wants us to believe.

Had Tottenham gotten more points in their first 5 games, forfeiting the last game of their group wouldn’t have been an issue. Tottenham were deservedly eliminated at the group stage of the tournament that mourinho won.

We got eliminated thanks to bad luck, nothing more. The form is irrelevant if you're still in the competition. Roma got trounced by a team that nobody had heard of whose name you could type out if you headbutted a keyboard, but they still won the competition. Says it all.

The only time I'll ever agree with Wahl. Spurs were pathetic in that competition.
