I think even the most rapid Kopite would
Agree the City Real result would have been different but for so many in-game injuries
City’s March to title was very impressive considering they had so many defensive injuries. Liverpool had full squad but remember how poor they were last season with multiple defensive injuries
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You do realise that both Dias and Laporte (29 and 33) were able to play sognificantly more games each this season than VvD, Matip, and Gomez managed combined (22) last season.
In fact Laporte's 33 games in the league alone was more than the Liverpool trio managed in total on all comps last season (32).
Those pesky facts showing up your false equivalence.

dont bother, hes just trying to wum as theres nothing good going on at chelsea these days

You can't halt the inevitable.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We can't stop the Quad every year. Fortunately Liverpool could not beat any of the top 4 in normal time this season
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That is a slight on Liverpool’s season. Justifiably so.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you ignore the fact that it isnt even true then it might be justifiable.
Man City 2 - 3 Liverpool 16 April 2022 sort of undermines it entirely.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He thinks that was the reserves and doesn't count though. Even though there were nine City players that played in both the FA Cup semi and the league title decider on the final day.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes you are right. City had all their key defenders missing for both games. And Real semi
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah I'm right, most players played both the cup semi and the crucial title decider.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Apart from some key defenders

Brilliant.
Let's have a game of 'Mix The Seasons' and see who comes up with a set of figures that suits whatever point you're trying to make.

I wasn't making a point, I was correctly refuting someone's else's claim that it was impressive that Man City dealt with their defensive injuries so much better than Liverpool but pointing out that the severity of the injuries was significantly less for City.
If that's too hard for you to understand then blame your schooling.

I like the way you left Walker out of the defensive equation.
The fact he played a lot of games earlier in the year must mean it's irrelevent that he missed games at the business end of the season.

Sorry; will add Kyle Walker into the equation. In short he managed to play twice as many games as Matip, 3 times as many games as Gomez and 4 times as many games as VvD.
He managed 20 games this season (2 less than the 3 Liverpool CBs managed combined the previous season). So if we compare the total appearances of each defensive trio it is 82 games for City, 22 games for Liverpool. That is before we take into account that Liverpools 4th and 5th choice CBs also got injured.
It's strange that you two mouth breathers see facts as a "narrative". That's exactly the same as those MAGA nuts in the US.
