How important is top 4 next season?

Spurs seem to be winning the transfer window if rumours of Richarlison, Djed and Bissouma are to be believed and I’m sure Chelsea will improve. And of course you’d think the other two will make top 4.

Is this season a free hit? Or should top 4 be a minimum expectation? Or even just the Europa league as it serves two purposes (CL football and breaks the trophy drought).

*this isn’t a ‘why haven’t we signed anyone’ article btw 😹 I’m sure we’ll get De Jong, Anthony and Timber which would be a half decent window.

Vitinha’s a proper play-a-maker, though. Not a long ball merchant like Neves.

He's the Porto Pereira.

He only good in pre season then?

We'll probably play him on the right or at no. 10 and then loan him out.

United had top 4 in their hands and couldn't motivate themselves and "gave up trying".

That points to something a lot more than just lack of application & effort, its an awful attitude and you think you can rely on those players next season and Ten Hag will fix them.

What if ETH doesnt improve things dramatically & quickly....will they give up then?

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Almost certainly, that squad is rotten and needs a proper clear out - they only just finished above a threadbare West Ham and their best player will soon be getting a bus pass
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah massively agree with this. This team has a thing where when there heads drop they cannot get out of the funk, its the absolute last qualitys you want in a team.

If United only sign 4 players as has been suggested then they can forget finishing in the top 4 next season.

Need at least 6 deals to work out to give themselves a punchers chance, that's how far off they are imo.

You seem to be vastly overestimating Spurs and even Chelsea... Yes, they have the most potential to pull away, but it's just potential, right now... Spurs stumbled over the line, in the end.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Spurs scored 31 goals in their first 24 Premier League games and have 21 in their last six.

Yeah Spurs stumbled over the line

Imagine being bantered by a team that's won less than Wigan Athletic over the last 20 years.

No idea where Spurs fans get their balls from.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

No ones bantering you, its just observations.

Winning little does not preclude us from having a valid view on football.

In fact, Spurs have been in a real mess at times over the years - we know a shiiit show when we see one.

I'd rather we don't win FK ALL cup and Vananarama Trophy and play in CL regularly and get to CL finals

For Ten Hag, it will be massive.

The club, don’t know.

Top 4 does not mean a lot for me next season.

Playing style and entertaining football are what I want

Same ^

I would like to not be miserable as fck on the tram home after a game ever week, even when we'd managed to win by a goal it was still just a weird 'meh' feeling' and has been for years now.
