Florentino

Is there a bigger toddler in football?

Throwing his toys out about Mbappe. Sulking about Haaland. Stamping his feet about PSG and City’s spending. Threatening the football world with the return of the European Superleague.

He’s like the human equivalent of a margarita made by a first day on the job bar back.

WHile his concerns about inflated revenues and sponsorships have merit and are the very reason that City & PSG are able to spend sooo much...it is the pot calling the kettle black. Madrid have benefitted from state funding for decades.

yeah, don't like the taste of their own medicine. Clubs can persuade players to joint hem over RM and they hate it.

I can see why people think it's throwing toys out of the pram but what's happened at PSG n City hasn't been good for football at all and will not be looked back on as positive either in years to come. I said this right at the start.

It's made a bit of a mockery of clubs spending decades getting where they have to just be gazumped by some tin pot outfit with oil money.

City have clearly doped the club financially but at least they are a bit self conscious and try to hide it. As things stand today they are generating decent $ through success and player sales.

I read there are emails or something that suggest city over paid players using certain techniques to get around FFP but let's be honest, the authorities won't do anything. They are petrified of City's lawyers.

PSG just brazen with it and give 0 fu5ks it's pretty cringe. For the league they play in, it's TV rights and their CL revenues the math just don't add up.

City and PSG both fast tracked success with $ but I think PSG are a level above them for taking the pi55

They literally took us to court about that.

There is very little comparison between the models of City and PSG, which is why we’ve now got US and Chinese stakeholders of the club as well as Mansour.

Ink now but there was a story only in the last week or so that said they were still investigating something. May be media spin but even if it isn't nothing will happen.

I also said PSG area a step above. They don't even try and hide the fact they just blatantly pi55 money up the wall.

Gotta add the way Madrid chief has gone mental about Mbappe is kinda strange. Said he isn't interested in Mbappe now as he isn't 'his Mbappe anymore'

He does understand Madrid never owned him 😂

Yeah my second point was more a general point rather than a response to your comment. It’s not even a step above, it’s a completely different ladder. There’s an assumption there’s a similarity due to the initial scale of investment but Mansour is already selling parts of us for considerable profit to himself. PSG have no interest in that as they are fully state owned and have completely different motivations.

I get that he's sore about Mbappe rejecting them, that one signing would have basically turned La Liga into a 1-team league for the next 5 years, so it's a big miss for them.

But Real under Perez are known for throwing money around and unsettling players at other clubs etc. Now there's a few teams with deeper pockets and he has to accept that.

We save football 4 times in a single season and this is the gratitude we get. For shame, Rossi!

This isn’t an anti-Madrid article IOAG, honestly; it’s simply a Perez is a moany dikk article

Perez’s assholeness is second only to Tebas’ ... though I think those statements were made on El Chiringuito, which in terms of how seriously it should be taken is the footballing equivalent of the Benny Hill Show
