Wish him nothing but the best in his transfer to Bayern. Absolute legend for us on and off the field.
Favourite goal has to be the stoppage time winner vs the Ev
Mané

Why did he want to leave pool?
For me he was your best player

A new challenge and more money.

Nah not even a pool fan but VVD is their best player

He is irreplaceable

VVD and Alison are more important to Pool than Mane is IMO

Unbelievable amount of rival fans think mane is class now.
Also seen a few comments of we'd be better off letting Salah go. Absolute nonsense. Salah has had a poor end to the season but his first half was incredible - might even be the among the best stats wise in the PL with goals and assists.
Let's cast our mind back to last season when mane looked like he forgot how to play football. Don't think any of us at the end of that season would be too worried about him leaving. He has returned to good form this season but he's not the absolute linchpin that some seem to be making out.
Think it's the right call with him being in his last season. Nunez has big shoes to fill but think hes capable of it. Whoever comes in to ultimately replace Salah will have a far more daunting job.

I'd argue our starting squad this year is stronger than our starting squad last season as things stand.
Jones and Elliot have another season of development iunder their best, Konate had a year to settle, Diaz a bit of time too and Nunez has come in,
I lost count of the amount of times I saw Mane is in decline on here last season (not that I agreed).

Well understandable Mane was as poor at the start as salah was at the end. He was pretty good for us at the end though after he won afcon etc.
Hopefully with a proper pre season we get to see Jones and Elliott blossom again, both started games last season before injuries interrupting and both looked promising. Hope Gordon and Carvalho can add to that too.
These are talents where if they were at clubs like Dortmund etc im sure they'd be attracting a lot of interest from clubs like us.

Not sure id agree with that. Probably about equal for me. Weve gained diaz so thats one fair enough. But we are losing and absolute superstar. Mane might not always grab the headlines but the sheer volume of work he got through game in game out was relentless. I dont imagine theres a right back in the league that enjoys playing against him. He will be a huge loss.
Nunez may come in, hit the ground running and turn out to be a superstar in his own right but at this minute in time its unknown how he'll do. We will just have to wait and see on that front.
Time will tell if nunez in and mane out was good business. Right now losing mane feels sorer than the gain.

Trent too. Mane was excellent but we have other options.

Alisson, Trent and Salah probably most important simply because the drop off in their replacements in terms of quality and how it affects our system.
VVD next (but could be in that top list really but I do like our cb options but maybe not LCB) and also Fabinho.
Losing Mane but gaining Diaz and Nunez probably makes our squad stronger but first team weaker. For now.

Also, all the best to Mane. Great signing, best left forward we've had since Barnes and Barnes is probably our best ever.
I'm sure Mane will tear it up in Germany.
