ETH has announced he will remain as our captain.

Thoughts?

Jeez, it looked like Rashford scored from an assist from Sancho in training… the crowd went crazy!!
Almost brought a tear to me eye, how much love we get around the world.
It’s a beautiful thing…

For what it's worth, if ETH has you guys playing anything like his Ajax team, you'll start to see possession go through the roof. You won't be on the back foot as much so his frailties won't be exposed, plus he's good on the ball which is what you want in a ETH team.

As happy as we are with Conte, it's still quite negative football. ETH is a more progressive manager in the Pep mould which you've not had since Fergie left. That along with the money will see a return to winning ways. I've got a feeling he's gonna get your squad purring, with or without many signings.

Fckin hope so mate.

To be honest I would be happy just to go to OT knowing whatever happens I’ll see some good football and a team that gives a shiyte.

Transfer news!

Fulham have announced the signing of Andreas Pereira from Manchester United for £10m.

The midfielder has agreed a four-year deal with the club holding an option to extend by a further 12 months.

Pereira said: “I’m very happy to be here and I can’t wait to start the season with Fulham.

“I want to help Fulham as much as I can to be where they belong. Marco Silva was very important for this. I spoke a lot with him, and he was a key factor in me being here.”

That is definitely not in doubt. In the year we got to the CL final we should really have been utterly destroyed by Ajax. They were stunning. I've never seen such an unknown bunch of footballers play like that. You have to remember as well that he had players like Ziyech and Tadic tearing it up. One can't get in the Chelsea team and the other used to play for Southampton. That's not to say they're bad players, it just takes a brilliant manager to get the best out of them.

Your best bet is to be patient and not be underwhelmed if you sign players you'd consider to be beneath the club as he can somehow polish them into real gems.

I hope to god I'm wrong as that will screw us over next year but you'll see. You might not get results straight away but ball retention will change immediately. You'll be playing the football now, not the opposition.

As good as Conte is, I'm jealous.

It will take a lot of time, I’ll be patient as I have been with all our new managers since SAF, many of that Ajax squad had been playing under him for a couple of by that point.

I’m the most hopeful I’ve been at the start of a new managers reign though. Just hope he gets at least some of his first choice transfers in so he’s not starting with his hands tied behind his back.

A lot of our squad is mismatched in terms of attributes and playing style, assembled by a bunch of different managers. They really do need coaching so much to play as a unit, I can see us taking a few good beatings off decent sides while we adjust to what he wants. I just hope he doesn’t go back on what he’s aiming for if that happens for the sake of getting results.

Is all about timing and now probably isn't the right time to make what will be a headline making decision in stripping Maguire of the captaincy

4-0 against an admittedly weakened Liverpool side. Looks like it's working already. A lot of the write ups talk about sharper reaction, surety in transition, confidence on the ball and cohesion without it. Might seem ridiculous but United are my ones to watch this year.

Still think you'll be better shot of Ronaldo though as legendary as he is. He's desperate for the 'now' to be part of a building process.
