Keep up 'Arry

Looks like OneOfOurOwnβ„’ has been living the good life in the summer break.

See the vid below, from our training. Jump to about 2hr 13m. Doesnt look in a good way.

Double sessions apparently, in the heat of Seoul, and this was running pitch lengths after a 2 hr training session. We'll be super fit this season.

COYS!

While what fridge says is painfully simplistic (as per his character).

It is reported that Conte’s training/dietary requirements are even stricter than other coaches - hence why there can be a burnout. He obviously does most his training with the ball though.

I would be massively surprised if Conte is the one drawing up the "fitness" parts of training.

I would think he sits down with this conditioning coaches and explains how he wants the team to play. They will then analyse it and determine the key areas needed to focus on in order to be as effective as possible in the way he plays. They will then draw up and run the training sessions for the fitness side of things.

The days of the head coach of manager deciding all this are for the most part at this level gone.

Painfully simplistic yet you go on to explain your own theory and it matches completely with mine, regarding burnout and Conte’s typical time window.

I'm still annoyed with those pointless nations league friendlies last month. Ahead of a WC year, that was a ridiculous set of fixtures to have that cut down any summer recovery by three weeks.

I genuinely think England's results were so bad because they were knackered and just didn't care about this meaningless Nations League at a time when they should have been resting.

Same with Belgium. Ridiculous waste of the summer.

where is there evidence of Contes teams burning out....he usually leaves before the team get sick of him, apart from Chelsea but they just mutiny when they dont like hard work anyway...They did it with Ancelotti, Jose & Conte, the season after being successful with each,

I'm not one of those fans that only cares about their club and has no interest in international football. However the Nations League is just shameless money grabbing with unnecessary extra games for exhausted players.

I like the nations league in that it adds a bit of spice to others dull totally meaningless friendlies. Its just the timing that suck and that is, of course, driven to a lrge degree by UEFA coining it as usual.

“ Ask a player to do a 100 laps of a pitch, he'll have a whinge. Ask a player to dribble the same distance with a ball, he'll do it willingly. That's what separates good coaches from great ones.“

“matches completely with mine”
