I can believe they'd want him. However will he want to go there? He's supposedly incredibly keen to play in the CL still and further extend his goals record. He can't do that over there.

Would lose a lot of respect for the guy if he left United to go there.

Why?

He’s achieved pretty much everything there is to achieve and he probably doesn’t want to sign for a second rate club that can’t compete for the top titles.

So if there’s no good offer on the table in Europe, why not take one last pay day and retire?

The Saudi thing is most likely complete bllox but I would lose some, maybe not all, respect for him if he went. Part of what I love about him is his pure obsession with being the best and achieving the most and Saudi just doesn’t fit. Bayern does, PSG ETC does. United currently doesn’t which is why this whole thing has surfaced. He is Ronaldo first and everything else second, no doubting that. He’s no GNev, Scholes, Giggs in that regard, never has been.

I know I’m in the minority but I would prefer he stays for one more season: his goals, his attitude and hopefully rubbing off on some other players. I just don’t think he hampers our ‘play style’ (whatever that is) as much as many people do. If we were Klopps Liverpool or Peps City then yeah I could understand but we’re not and it’s only really one more season.
