If we assume for the moment that the Djed Spence deal is the last of the incomings how would you rate the transfer window?
For me it’s an absolute 10/10 in terms of timing and I can’t
remember any time since I’ve been a Spurs fan where we have gotten the bulk of our business done so early.
In terms of resolving the issues within the squad I’ll give it a 6.5-7 as the LCB is still an issue and while Spence has come in at RWB he’s still raw and might not be an immediate solution.
In terms of value for money I think we’ve done really well and would give it a 7.5/10 - think we’ve over paid for Richarlison but that is balanced by the brilliant deal we got for Bissouma.
In terms of the players individually:
Forster 6/10
Perisic 7.5/10
Bissouma 8.5/10
Richarlison 7.5/10
Lenglet 5/10
Spence 7/10
All in all I’d say it’s been a pretty decent window as far as incomings go and even if this is all the transfer business done with I’d give it an 8/10 overall.
Thoughts?

Conte also mixed it up with a 3-4-1-2 formation at Inter so a AM makes sense. But he never had the option here as he had no one to play that role.

Yep and a lot of times last season plan A wasn't happening in some games we couldnt breakdown a side

I think it's fair to say we have won the transfer window.

It was said ironically. I hate the saying myself.

I give our business so far 8.2. That score is weighted heavily on incomings of course. Lots of work to do with outgoings and filling in the two remaining positions we are rumoured to be in the hunt for.

Like it. Imdb style rating.

Scoring is serious work. As Dier has been borrowing El Presidente's system I might as well too.

The reason I don’t think it’s a disaster if we don’t get the AM is that we know how creative Kane is, top assister in the league the season before last. PEH was looking like Pirlo at the end of last season - he had a serious upturn in form.
If we spanked a £100m on Skriniar/Bastoni I could see us going very close this season even without an attacking mid.
Got a feeling we will get Pau Torres though and he will be a real gamble - might get lucky

Ideally in a Conte system creativity comes from patterns of play, not any one individual player. It's all about giving the ball to the attackers as quick as possible.
The idea of buying an AM is to have a tool off the bench to unlock a defense because there is no role for a traditional AM in the system.
Why are you talking about PEH in the same sentance as Pirlo?! Come on maaaaan.

He's pretty much said he's not interested. I think we can rule that one out. Skriniar might be an interesting one later in the window, though Inter are being a bit ridiculous. They priced out PSG FFS

Ha, I’m not saying he is fit to lace Pirlo’s boots, just that he suddenly improved and started providing assists at the end of last season.

I think Torres will come if we make a serious move for him.
My big concern at the moment is that we’re not getting solid links for this position and seem to be looking at AM over this. Getting an elite CB could see is actually winning something this year

We still need a top level CB and a creative goal scoring midfielder, and even then our other signings could be described as
Forster - Back up, won`t play many games
Peresic - Quality short term option
Bissouma - Quality, will improve our midfield
Richarlison - Quality, will improve forward options
Lenglet - Untried in PL, short term loan
Spence - Untried in PL, young with potential
So a mixture of `know what we are getting` and `unknowns`.
The key is to build a squad to ride all the variables and inconsistencies, we are not there yet.
