Different options tried at LB, but I think the obvious is staring everyone in the face.

I would suggest £1 million is good money for a player with limited experience. Take the cash and invest in a more solid option - someone who can actually challenge Firpo for his place in the side.

davis must be bad if hes not able to challenge firpo

I think Hjelda has got a better temperament and technical ability than what I have seen of Davis so I wouldn't be that bothered if we let Davis go and I'll be amazed if we haven't got a new lb by the time the transfer window closes and let's hope a new striker is sorted out before the season starts too.

Didn't watch. Did Hjelde play LB second half?

The club will sign a LB and a striker and call it a day. Any calls for other positions will (rightly) fall on deaf ears

No he switched Jack to wingback, he moved Llorente to his correct side and Leo played on the left side of a CB partnership. Strange because Llorente was doing OK on the other side.

Don't know if anyone else heard it but on the Aussie commentary they were saying Bamford was wearing moulds because studs hurt his feet.

Doesn't sound ready to me, really need another striker.

He has/had fascia planter which can be a devil to get rid of but you can run through. I had that, mornings were awful like I was walking with a nail in my shoe. Went one day. Am able to run with no problems. Same with my frozen shoulder. No idea why either just went. Cannot be my half 'rsed sticking to what the physio told me to do.

A new left back, centre forward and I would be tempted to get another centre half as Cooper looks more than likely to miss big chunks of the season.
Also I would hang on to Bate because Klich and injury prone Foreshaw are not going to be the answer if Adams and Rocco are not available.

We've got a more than decent CB, only trouble is some idiot has loaned him out to Milwall. He'll be their player of the season. No way to treat the future England captain.

Theres another game of sorts v Palace behind closed doors imagine all those who didnt play will get a run out in that.

Well that’s one view. Another might be that getting a 19 year old some real experience of man’s football is a good thing so he comes back to us a better player.

I like cresswell, but for all the tub thumping about him when he played for the senior team last year with his raging bull challenges, his only real positive contribution was in getting badly caught out leading to the incident that got jiminez sent off. So he was crucial in keeping us up

Learning when to be the tough guy and when to play smart in man’s football will hopefully be the making of him,
