Who else can we get at CB? I’ve seen suggestions elsewhere of Gvardiol, Torres, Ndicka and Inacio. I like the last two options because they won’t be too expensive and I don’t think Chelsea will have much competition to sign them.
Or we could just use Collwill of course. The decisions to sell Tomori and Guehi look completely brain dead now btw
With Kounde going to Barcelona (ffs)

There will be bargains to be had at Barca come the close of the window. They have got this so badly wrong that they are now massively at risk either being unable to play signed players or losing 10s of millions in a fire sale of players to lower the wage bill.

Problem is, if any of the proposed 'fire sale' players are on similar deferred salary deals to the one FDJ is on, would they even want to move?
I'm sure I read somewhere that the majority of Barcelona's high earners are on deferred salary deals and may take a similar stance to FDJ. Where would that leave Barcelona?

None of it makes sense to me. I understand they can buy players but as far as I’m aware they want with of de jong to clear his wages off the wage bill. Yet have bought like 6 players. How much is de jong on?

Apparently De Jong is on £355k a week at Barca, earning 18-20m euro a season and he has 4 years left on his deal.
I think this sum includes the 18m euro they own him in deferred wages since joining in 2019

So lewa, raphinha, dembele resigning, kounde, christensen and supposedly azpi and alonso won’t be on 355k between them?
Like I say doesn’t make sense to me

They've basically sold off the family silver, that is their TV rights, which gives them cash flow but the fun starts when they have to register a squad of only 25 and pay all the wages.

Chelsea have been a facking joke
“We need a top quality striker… Lewandoski is available…” > Barca
“Ok not to worry, we’ll score more from the wide areas… that Raphina looks class and we’ve agreed a fee with Leeds!” > Barca
“Damn… well sort out our ageing defence. We’ve monitored Kounde for quite some time now - he’s our man!” > Barca
You’re being shown up by a club with more debt than a council mum hooked on wonga.com
----------------------------------------------------------
Oh it's absolutely nothing on how much Barcelona are showing themselves up at the moment. Barcelona right now are like a priest getting caught snorting coke off a hooker's stomach
The club that's preached the most self-righteous rubbish since Cryuff blessed them with his presence & principles. In their time of struggle where principles are actually worth something, they've resorted to spend, spend, spend just like every other football club on the planet. They're not better, they never were, and now they know that

Dembele resigned on much reduced wages so theyve kept the player but is now cheaper.
Lenglet went to Spurs and he was on £140k a apparently !
I dont think that FDJ will be the only one to go. Likely that Depay is leaving (£160k a week) Umtiti also a linked to be leaving (£263k a week) plus some loans ending.
Just shows they pay such stupid wages

A lot of the clubs seem to get reeled in nowadays. Hopefully we are seeing a change in football. The players have way too much power and then leave on a free so could be that players will start getting reduced wages. If there’s even less sell on value it makes sense
posted on 26/7/22
For example now clubs are paying huge transfer fees for prospects, then give big wage for 5 years just to have no sell on value as a player runs down their contract.
Only bonuses now are if the club win something while that players there. Signings like pogba or havertz have minimal benefit now if you don’t win anything. Havertz if he doesn’t sign a contract in a few years will leave for free
