How on God’s good earth…

…did PSG manage to bring in Nordi Mukiele for just 16M Euros. Signing of the summer for me across Europe which is annoying as I really wanted him at Spurs. But how they managed to snag for him for such a small fee is bewildering. Leipzig should have rinsed them.

Lol fine but they shouldn’t have sold him to France for that amount either. Sixteen million Euros is absolute peanuts.

yeah its weird clubs like them and Ajax pretty tight when signing players then sell some really good players randomly cheap, and price is pretty dependent on the club.

They sold him at a loss lol. They paid €16m for him themselves whereas the PSG deal is €16m including add ons that technically may not be triggered. Strange deal

Same way City hot Haaland for the widely reported 55m. There's payments hidden in the deal or money payed by "separate" entities etc. 16m is the reported fee.

Haaland had a release clause though.

Yeah, the clause was what they reportedly paid, but there were also other guaranteed payments to his agent and even to his Dad.

The chances are they know something the rest of us don’t. Could be injury (risk worth taking during medical at that cost), disciple, anything. Not many clubs let great players go for that price without good reason, particularly to a financial giant like PSG.

Could also be that the deal was done with a bit of a wink, like the partnership we had with Real Madrid all those years ago where the deal was they took all our best players and we got eff all in return.

PSG can get millions paid undetected into tax havens. They can sign multi-million multi-Year contracts to supply the Emir’s entire yacht fleet with energy drinks. They can get the national Qatari crisp company to sign a minor sponsorship deal to appear on RBL’s short sleeve.

It’s one of the many advantages of being the sportswashing arm of a totalitarian state whose leaders are answerable to nothing and nobody. They can make deals look like they cost whatever they want as long as the other party is game, and in this corrupt business that is football, you’d be hard pushed to find someone who isn’t.
