Everytime I read Yakuza, I always think of that Tekken character Kazuya

Never played a Yakuza game before but then clips I've seen, particularly the unarmed combat, seem very reminiscent of another game I absolutely loved - Sleeping Dogs. Anyone played it before to confirm or deny the similarities?

Very happy about Tony Hawks as I'vebeen tempted for a while. I lost so, so many hours to those games back in the early 00s.

Ive played and enjoyed all the yakuza games and thoroughly enjoyed them all. That said, Yakuza 7 moves into a turn based fighting style so a lot different to the previous games. Took a bit of getting used to but once it clicks, I actually preferred it. It doesnt hamper the action and you can breeze through a lot of the early fights.
I definitely recommend it as the story is good and the side quests are utterly bonkers including a giant roomba which sucks up a cat
