Rumours are surfacing that Joe Rodon is close to a loan move to French club Rennes. Apparently the deal will include a 20m euros option.
Surely this means we are in for another CB.
This will leave us with:
Romero - Top class, improving all the time
Dier - Solid defender and leader
Davies - Decent defender and versatile
Lenglet - Untested in the PL
Sanchez - Inconsistent and error prone
Tanganga - Not hit the heights (yet), linked with a move
We are short, a long term injury to Romero or Dier and we are looking weak at the back, so another top class CB is a must.
Rodon to Rennes?

Tanganga will go and I think/hope we'll get a top CB in

very concerned about what happens if Dier gets injured

He'll be a miss for sure which is bizarre considering his form pre Conte
I would put Lenglet in the middle I think he could be good there and then pray Davies isn't injured at the same time

I still think we will get bastoni

Sanchez has looked quite solid at the right side of a back 3, but there is always a fack up around the corner, I`m not sure we can rely on him for a sustained period.
Tanganga has had injury problems and has put in some shocking performances at times, so can`t be relied upon either.

Just seen a link to Nikola Milenkovic as a possible replacement for Rodon

What has Rodon done wrong at Spurs ? does anyone really know, is it a on field or off field issue, he has been seen to spend time arguing with team mates, would be interesting to find out

Strange isn’t it - hard to judge his level as he’s never had a consistent run. When he has played he’s looked capable with potential - no real horror shows and performs for Wales.
But, Jose, Mason, Nuno and Conte haven’t really fancied him at all - I appreciate two of those were short lived, but still…..

Yes… I’ve just seen the Nikola Milenkovic link… is he left footed by any chance?

No… he’s right footed…. & 6ft 5 !!!!!!!!
Would make sense if we’re getting rid of Rodon & Tanganga
