Best TV deals

I'm currently with Virgin Media paying £59.87/month for my package, primarily for their sports package. At the end of August, it goes up to £125.50, so my question is whether any 606ers have pointers to some better packages.

Thank you all for your assistance!!

I pay a fortune for Virgin which includes Sky, Netflix and Amazon are extra, so probably around £170 a month for that which is with teh broadband and phone line bundled in a a million channels of sh t to choose from on tv.

Firestick sounds interesting, how would it work with your remote control set up?

Seperate RC.

I switch the source on my TV to Firestick (which is in a HDMI socket) the it's all done from the FS remote.

My IPTV provider gives over 12,000 channels, luckily they are categorised so I pick (say) Premier League Football and it narrows it down to about 30 channels on a normal Saturday/Matchday.

cheers, all I want sports wise is to watch Leeds matches and tennis coverage.

At moment tennis is all over the place, so amazon prime subscription helps, but also on Europsort etc.

is IPTV legal?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Definitely not but it's the providers Sky/BT go after, not the users.

My pacakage includes Prime (which I pay for anyway) and Netflix which I cancelled last year. The fact it also gives you access to all the free-to-air channels means it would be practically impossible for any user to be prosecuted anyway.

Is another box you have to plug in?

You have to download certain apps, the provider will then talk you though it then give you a password when you pay them.

Out of curiosity, where are the providers based?

Saying that, alot of the Sky feed are from the Irish version.

Same content, presenters etc but the adverts are Irish.

That probably doesn’t mean much. I suspect they are probably based on Wild West internet type places, Russia, Asia etc,
