Partey & Tomiyasu can be considered a bonus to have them fully fit. Reality is they need replacing.
Nkiteah has improved and seems hungry. He even looks to have gained some physicality and hit the gym but I still don't believe he's at the level to carry the front line if anything were to happen to Jesus.
Martinelli/smith-rowe still not the finished Article.

If we add tielemans and a winger, I reckon we can compete for 3rd & 4th

5 players lol. We already have a team capable of winning it.
It’s only really City that have an XI comparable to ours in terms of talent.
If we sign a top winger though, then we’ll really be set.

So, to clarify, you are saying you need literally half a first team "to compete" yet there are several just on this post alone that think you are already there. Not to mention all the "super gooners" on AFTV who can go from deep disappointment to jumping up and down in the street outside the stadium saying we are undefeated in pre season, so league title on its way. And all in a blink of an eye.
Christ, if you are half a team short ( and a manager that actually knows what he is doing, of course ) then you are no better than the various teams aiming for mid table.
God, why do you lot do this to yourselves every year ?
