I've just shared this below on Facebook and Twitter. Thought I'd share it before the football season and United is to blame for me feeling low!
https://twitter.com/DeiBryn77/status/1555870995071832069?t=Sjz1IcnobSgSQB8zj0OREQ&s=19
I've had quite a few responses to the Facebook one with people saying they feel the same. It's good to talk and I feel all the better for it. When people see me they probably think I'm a happy person (generally am) but depression and anxiety can hit us all.
By all means feel free to take the pee this season and keep the 'bantz' going but, no matter who you support, if you need someone to vent to/ share something with (as sometimes easier to do it with someone you don't really know) I'd be open to help if I can.
Mental Health (again) - it's good to talk

Diafol, I get on with the majority of this site but you specifically are probably the nicest and most genuine person on here (not to discredit others of a similar ilk).
I know you’re not looking for a hand job here but seriously dude, the world needs more people like you so whatever it is you’re feeling please know they for what it’s worth, this site would be a lot worse without you and your input đ

I'm too emotionally repressed to say so, but second what Robb said.
Good that you raise these issues in your OP too. I'm no stranger to downers and anxiety, and I know the bad habit of male coded behaviour of holding it in has exacerbated it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Haha. I'm really a dark and conniving person you know!
Yes, sometimes male bravado can make you feel weak if you share but I've been encouraged by how many people have responded to me when I've shared this kind of thing. I always try to speak up for people at work who aren't always confident in expressing themselves. Probably because I'm at an age where I'm not that ambitious any more so I've less to lose.

Fair play Diafol, hope you are doing well.

Cheers Process. All is well. Just wanted to highlight how sharing can help really. It was a couple of months ago I was at my lowest but talking helps. đ

I echo this, and also value that we have the odd chat on Twitter. You’re a legend.
Reading this post, your tweet and Robb’s pandemic post have actually made me quite emotional as it’s made me think about things I’ve probably been repressing for quite a while. My mental health has definitely taken a huge hit over the last two years even though I met my current wife the day before the first restrictions were introduced in Victoria. I think getting back to a normal way of life - back to the office three days a week, social pressures, still dealing with my ex wife from a financial settlement perspective - have been incredibly overwhelming and I’m not the best at communicating when I’m feeling flat or down. So good on you DC for making us all think about it. đ

You guys in Melbourne did it tough so hope you’re okay dude. Life will be properly normal soon enough. Especially when summer hits as I feel in Oz that will signal the end of the pandemic. Here in Sydney we have to wear masks on trains etc but hopefully not too soon. You haven’t lived until you’ve worn a mask for 24 hours on a flight đ
As I said to Diafol, if you’re ever in Sydney hit me up, I’m a fairly normal dude who think he’s more funny than he is and I’m sure if Dave ever posts on here we could have a United JaMeetup. Head on over to the Crown casino and watch a United game.

Not sure if you said you’re an AFL fan but did you see the Swans/Demons game? My guys won a great contest and I fancy us to win the whole thing

Sounds good to me mate. I did the flight back to the UK with a mask in April. Horrific!
Actually my bucks night finished at Crown. I definitely have a love hate relationship with that place!

I’m not a fan to be honest. I supported St Kilda when I first moved over but I just can’t get in to it. It goes on forever đ

đ it does get good. Especially during finals.
