I am really sorry to see Timo leaving. With absolutely zero reason, I have always felt that he would eventually come good for us. I have a horrible feeling he will start banging the goals in for RBL within a couple of weeks. I am though more interested in who we intend to bring in to fill the void.
We are still very light in attack, in fact we do not have a PROVEN striker on the books. I think Broja may do OK, Kai is a good player but NOT an out and out striker. I would like to see us take Vardy off of Leicester for maybe 2 years, while we scour the Planet for a top quality striker in the Drogba mould.

He was a major flop. I do think had he joined us he would have fared better in a Klopp system but we will never know.

I'm with you Bobbi, disappointed to see this one and, like you, always had a feeling he'd come good. His work rate was always excellent and pressed from the front. Of course we wanted to see a few extra goals, but he got himself into good positions, stretched defences, and got a decent assist return as well. He was definitely a big part of our champions league win.
Wish him all the best! Definitely not in the same bracket as Lukaku and Morata in my mind, who's hearts weren't in it, or Batshuayi who just really offers nothing

I'm sad to see him go personally, you couldn't fault his effort and I think he would have been a better provider than out n out goalscorer!

Yeah Brummie it’s a pity. However his effort and attitude definitely took a turn for the worse towards the end of last season. I think he finally broke spirit-wise.
Sad to see him go but it’s the right move sadly. Just one of those things. Hope he finds himself again. Pre-Chelsea

I doubt it. He had plenty of goal scoring opportunities with us and fecked about 85% of them. Crap finisher full stop
