We have a new member to join the Jorgensen, Kawashima, O'Hanlon, Key, Colgan & Jarvie crew.
If Eriksson doesn't start next week we have to question who sanctioned these signings. Both are supposedly internationalists. Then again so was Kawashima and the only thing I would give him pass marks for was his Superman impression which the Oz keeper perfected in the run-up to the third goal for AZ.
Liam Smith started again after his pass that contributed to the third goal for AZ. If you are not going to drop players for terrible mistakes what is the point of building a squad? Freeman gives us more of a threat. A threat is where we actually look like we want to score goals where if you do that you win points.

Tbf if you’re gonna drop players for single mistakes you won’t have a team.

I'd blame Jack Ross. Of course he's not responsible for individual mistakes, but the team seems to be a shambles

Nightmare last 4 days. All looked so good before! Surely they can’t let a bad week derail their season. Good manger and good players, expect them to finish top 5/6.

I tend to agree. They on paper seemed to have recruited quite well.
I think this is just a nightmare start they'll work through

The manager is a fraud. Found out everywhere he goes.

The keeper looks dreadful and I'd imagine the last few days have considerably damaged his confidence. What he needs now is a brick wall in front of him, rather than a defence that seems determined to let teams score within 60 seconds of the start of each half.
Last season we were effective defensively without threatening in the final third. Now we seem to have decided to remove that effective defensive aspect without adding an attacking edge.
I'm becoming increasingly concerned about our prospects this season. I'm not ringing the alarm bells just yet - Alkmaar and Tynecastle are two tough trips - but the manner of our capitulations have me worried that we're heading towards a relegation battle.
We desperately need to sign someone in the midfield who has a bit of aggression and can make a tackle. If we're going to play a back four with two slow defenders in it, then it's a requirement.

We had one. Unfortunately he was more interested in satisfying his own tackle. No coincidence the last time we let him go we were relegated the season after...
At least by playing Mulgrew there against Hearts shows that Ross knows we've got an issue. Hopefully we can get someone in.
As for the goalkeeper, he is genuinely one of the worst I have ever seen, at any level. Thought he was extremely lax against AZ in the first leg and has done nothing to impress me since. Gets beaten from miles out by shots that should be routine, has no control over his near post, flaps balls back into people's feet and can't catch even a tame shot. I realise we're only a few games in but unless it turns out he's been concussed I can't see him improving by enough to make him acceptable. It would be such a huge jump in level I don't think it's feasible. Better off loaning him to The Snug's team in exchange for a packet of KP nuts and a Diet Coke.
Positives... uhhh... he appears to rush out quickly? Actually makes him sound a lot like when an outfield player goes in goal. Are we sure he is actually a goalie?
