So a report carried out by Deloitte, commissioned by Dundee, Dundee United, Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen has basically found that Doncaster and his cronies are massively underselling our game, and that an increase of £50m, near doubling the SPFLs current income, can be achieved over the next five years
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/62547193
For me, this is yet more proof that the pwick that is Neil Doncaster, is absolutely fcking horse$hit at his job.
Basically the club's had to take it upon themselves to tell the SPFL, this is how much we could be getting.....yet what will happen is, Doncaster and his cronies will take credit for any increases that we manage to get
Get this guy to fck man, shouldve been out his job years ago
Deloitte....£50m increase

Stevie, I am on record on here as calling Doncaster a 'useless bastirt'. However, as we have not had any inspirational or seemingly effective head of the league / spl / spfl / sfa for as long as I can remember I am not sure where the confidence is that there is one out there? I am merely being somewhat realistic that sports administration (because up to now that is mainly what it has been) does not demand nor attract flamboyant or inspirational types - that is just the nature of the beast, it is like accountancy, non-court solicitors, health & safety, HR - by and large boring bastirts. Apologies because chances are I've offended lots here.

I think you have been pretty harsh on the entire IT community here.
Anyone in insurance also has the right to be a bit miffed. Playing golf doesnt count as having a personality chaps.
They deserve their shout out as much as the others

"FFS the guy saved your club and this is the thanks he gets."
Saved us fck all...can thank the SFA and SFL for that
If Doncaster had his way, he'd have had us placed in the first division, purely to speed the process up of us getting back to the top tier...coz all he cared about was his TV deal
In the endz the SFA/SFL never had the baws to chuck us out, and Oor Neil continued to pocket TV money for the SPL via Rangers games in the lower leagues being televised.
Silver...again, just comes across as defense of the man to me.
I don't care about his personality, his flamboyancy...or any of that.
All I want is a governing body that is actively doing everything it can to ensure our game is in the healthiest state it can be in, maximising revenue opportunities as much as possible, and selling our game as best that can.
Van sit and say it'll be hard to find this person or that person....Doncaster has had a 13 year shor at it....and for me, he's making an ar$e of it, has had long enough to prove his worth...isn't doing so....so he has to go, and we need people in that will actually do the job they are paid to do
If someone isn't good at their job, you don't start talking about how their character doesnt fit the role or any of that pi$h, you call it for what it is..... incompetence
Shouldn't take 13 years to figure out that's exactly what this guy is

Yet one of the biggest decisions our clubs/governing body made over the last decade, when deciding what to do regards curtailing the league due to COVID...in the end was decided in a phone call between Doncaster and Dundee's John Nelms, because the SPFL allowed themselves to be dictated to one club who withheld thier vote, and tried to force through reconstruction for their own benefit in exchange for their vote
Please tell me why the fck this man....boring bastirt or not...was kept in his job after that $hitshow

Moaning about Doncaster doing everything to save the tv deal on the same thread as moaning about not doing enough with it?

I think we got through covid OK. Fans back. No clubs lost. No great reconstruct forced through by any club.
It was a tricky period made more difficult by a few clubs but the end result was OK. Not sure what else he could have.
Plenty clubs run by charlatans and some by outright gangsters. Not easy.

The SPL voted us out
If we were out, that should have meant our TV income went with us....but no, that didn't happen
The impact of what happened then is that now, Sky etc....are still getting away with paying a pittance for TV rights, despite the fact they are getting four old firm games a season and a proper title race again
Perhaps if they took the hit that they really should have back in 2012....when via their own decision making they booted us out the top flight.....they might be reaping a bit more of a reward now that we are back in it and competing again

Here's a simple thing the SPFL could have done
Set a deadline for votes to be in for, and if they were not in by that point, said club lost its vote
A very simple thing to do...and it would have negated any club doing what Dundee did
Pretty fcking simple....would have though a bunch of guys who are "administrators" would have been able to come up with that idea pretty easily

The club known as Rangers got the TV revenue they were due as a 4th tier team. Some credit to Doncaster, Lawwell or whoever structured the deal that iirc had no drop in income because you and your team may not have been happy but 40 odd other clubs were over the moon in the circumstances.
Frankly unbelievable that after 10 years you still don't appreciate that you have a club to support at all.

Frankly unbelievable.....gies peace
Dont blame me for the governing bodies in this country being too $hit feart to throw the book at us
The SPL voted us out....yet deprived the lower league clubs of TV money that was rightly due to them, as that's the league that took us in and the league we were playing in....yet the SPL hoovering it all up, to give it to teams in the SPL that didn't want us to be there.
Excuse me if I find that utterly ridiculous
If my club had reformed outwith the league system, I'd still be supporting it...was the governing bodies, and yer pal Doncaster that stopped that from happening....
