does anyone else find it frustrating that europa league games shown on espn are scrambled in ireland or is it just me?
i did my research and apparently the reason is, setanta sports have the exclusive rights to europa league matches
but i pay for sky and espn is part of the sky package.
irish people being ripped off by an irish tv company....it gets me angry...!!!
Sky, ESPN & Setanta

This is odd alright. I was down in my parents gaff last week and I couldn't watch Celtic V Udinese on ESPN. They have Sky. But in my own house I can watch Europe League games on ESPN, I'm with UPC. Also on Sky Go you can watch ESPN in Ireland.
Weird.

that seems very unfair,
If memory serves me right Sky used to be able to scramble BBC Scotland when they were showing the Celtic Rangers games for nothing(scrambled in Ireland only) but free for everyone else in the UK

Tell ya boys , move up north and youll have Europe League all the time
On a serious note , Mick is right , they (Sky) used to scramble the old firm games and it was a fecking joke. Luckily enough i could pick up a feint BBC Scotland picture on terrestrial telly (live on the coast) but it was a shocking picture

Europa league is crap! Only games I'll watch are the rovers games, the semis and final! You need to get on socast lads all games free(I refuse to pay to watch football)
