Bolton Wanderers v Sheffield Wednesday

A big game as 4th placed Bolton take on 8th placed Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday! It doesn't seem 5 minutes since the last encounter when mj Williams scored an injury time equaliser which kept Bolton unbeaten for the last 8 matches. That unbeaten run has now extended to 12 matches unbeaten in the league. A real test imo of how much Bolton have progressed if they can turn that draw into a win. Team news. Toal is still injured, too soon for Sheehan and isgrove. Thomason serves the last of a 3 game ban. Santos is back from suspension and charles is now fit and both look certain to start along with recalls for Williams and Afolayan. The only uncertainty for me is john or iredale. I guess iredale v Sheffield and John v the villa. 3pm kick off.

Tucked away in one of the Ben comments is one mentioning Santos's poorly foot.
He did look slow and cumbersome perhaps his foot isn't fully recovered.

IE picked the 11, gave them his instructions. He deserves the lowest rating of the day.
Isn't it time the manager was given a rating?

The sooner we forget about yesterday the better. can we win on Tuesday? probably not but I hope that I'm wrong.

Had we won yesterday the outlook for Tuesday would have been entirely different. As it is confidence will be low.

Can Evatt raise the team's spirits? I'm not sure. He certainly didn't manage it at the halftime team talk yesterday.

I keep looking at the shopping list while trying to work out what I could throw out to make room.

Might as well sell sadlier as evatt clearly doesn't fancy starting him. Should at least get the money paid back with another year on his contract after this.

We were all down on Saturday and we deserved to be, however, we have to keep things in perspective as it was our first defeat in quite a long time in footballing terms.

Let's see what the next couple of weeks bring before we get too downhearted. We have a long way to go before the end of the season and I'll guarantee that most if not all clubs will have bad results during the season.

I'm not sure how we will cope against Aston Villa but to be honest I'm not too worried about that game. The games that matter are the league games. Let's hope that we can address Saturday's setback and get back on track.

Are we all waiting to hear the magic words "plantar fasciitis" as a reason for somebody's absence from the squad against Villa. I'm sure IE is capable of waffling over it.
Or will IE go with his trusted captain against Villa, to prevent Will Aimson showing IE something he doesn't want to see.

Toal is to be seen tomorrow at Bamber Bridge as the B team take on Blackpool.

IE doesn't come across as confident or excited in his pre match, does he?

It left me thinking we'd have been better hearing from Lofty, I'm sure he'd sound more up for it and instil more confidence in the fans.
