MATCH FACTS
Head-to-head
Leeds are winless in seven Premier League meetings since a 2-0 victory at Elland Road in December 2002.
Chelsea won 3-0 at Elland Road last season but have never won consecutive away league visits to the Whites.

Leeds United
Leeds have only kept five clean sheets in their past 41 Premier League matches.
The Whites failed to win consecutive home league matches last season and have only won their opening two home matches in one of the past 12 seasons: 2018-19.
Jesse Marsch's side have equalled the club Premier League record of 13 consecutive home games without a clean sheet, their longest run since a club top-flight record of 17 between October 1946 and August 1956.
Leeds lost all 12 matches last season against the teams who finished in the top six, conceding 47 goals.
Rodrigo is looking to become only the fourth Leeds player to score in their first three top-flight matches in a season, after Arthur Hydes in 1933-34, Mick Jones in 1968-69 and Patrick Bamford in 2020-21.

Chelsea
The Blues could win and keep a clean sheet in both of their opening two away fixtures of a Premier League season for the first time since 2005-06 under JosΓ© Mourinho.
The Blues have conceded 76% of their goals in the second half since shipping twice before half time to Liverpool at the start of 2022. Nine of their last 10 goals conceded have come after half time.
Chelsea's nine most recent Premier League goals were scored by nine different players.
Reece James has been involved in 15 goals in his last 24 Premier League starts, scoring six and setting up nine.
Raheem Sterling finished on the winning team in 11 of the last 12 Premier League away matches in which he scored. The exception was Manchester City's 1-1 draw at Leeds in October 2020.

We've had some "tasty" games with Chelsea in the past and this one looks set to be another
Tuchel managed to sidseswipe his ban but I can't see it making much difference Wβš“ that he is .
Anyway, it's a 2-1 Win for me with Rodders keeping up his run and Happy Jack getting a deserved goal πŸ˜ƒ

Just seen the result unbelievable. Absolutely brilliant. My earlier comments couldn't have been more wrong. Looking forward to match of the day!
And Garth Crooks team of the week!

sorry for the lack of capitals, but I am using a Chromebook, and money not well spent. there is a less than useful spell checker. must buy a proper laptop.
the team still needs a central striker and more cover at left-back.
i only have one account, I resent being called a liar without any evidence by individuals who make the keystone cops and inspector closeau look competent. those who have traduced the players and struijk has been a victim. a certain person criticised l ayling when he arrived but I doubt he will admit it, should realise that those who do the job for a living might know more than the unqualified.

Just back from the game and wow!

Yes we could have gone one down early doors but after that we were awesome!

Aaronson is just class and works so hard at being in the right position. He wants to be involved in everything. Great signing!

Tyler looks to be growing into the PL pace too. He’s great at breaking up play.

Roca is solid and looks a starter every game.

Ramus was much more solid today.

Koch, Struijk and Llorente played great too.

Harrison and James both had great games and Rodrigo was a totally different player from last season.

Meslier not too busy but what he had to do he did well.

A fantastic win. I backed us to win 2-1 at 11/1 but was so glad that third went in and my betting slip was useless.

Can’t wait for motd.

Fantastic match. There wasn’t one player who didn’t work their socks off. Wonderful team effort. I enjoyed that match as much as I used to enjoy Bielsa’s games when we were in the Championship and the first season back in the Prem. I hope we can keep this up and don’t get masses of injuries this season. Feeling wonderful this Sunday evening.

What a result. Sadly I missed this game live, first one I've missed in 2 seasons and see what happens.

Im over the moon..we showed an arrogant Chelsea team who think spending millions will solve their problems how to play football.

I take my hat off to Jesse ,I'm prepared to eat some of my words on letting bielsa go. Get us a cover LB and a striker and we are well set.

What a result!!!!
