For those that don't know, FSD stands for Full Self Driving. and it is trying to do exactly what it says on the tin. Drive the car autonomously. and is Tesla's effort to solve the problem.
I have been following EV's and self driving from the beginning of Tesla, and while there are other self driving systems being worked on, Tesla to me is way ahead of the competition.
Why you may ask? Simple, Tesla has the most scalable system, and is the only one trying to solve general self driving. Basically a system able to drive anywhere. So while there are other systems like Waymo (actually taking fares) it is only in geo fenced areas, using all sorts of sensors, like Lidar, camera's, radar. While Tesla use only a camera based system. making it cheaper and like I said far more scalable.
Tesla has just released the latest update to FSD Beta. 10.69. and while there have been many updates over the years, this is one of the most impressive. and finally shows how close FSD might be. It is not perfect, but it is driving with almost human like behavior.

Funnily enough, around the 1.34 mark, you see a Waymo, and its sensors going by. The giant thing on top is the Lidar.

BTW, he keeps touching the steering wheel, to let the system know he is paying attention, he is not adding any steering input.
Oh I might also add how this system fits very nicely into Tesla's plans for Teslabot. a robot they are working on. The robot is actually the easy part, the hard part is enabling that robot to see, understand and navigate the world around it. This software will be an important part in enabling that.

So all you want is for me to say, no company is perfect. Which I have already said. Including Tesla.
I literally follow the EV news, My mate who obviously asked me about EV's is buying an EV 6. I would encourage anyone to at least look into EV's. and test drive them, to find which one suits their needs.
I have asked for a dedicated EV section, there is all sorts of stuff going on. and it involves many companies not just Tesla. It is not my fault that Tesla are the clear leaders in it.

what i would really like for you to is learn to read I say give me one criticism of Tesla since as you say that are not perfect.
You read that as "So all you want is for me to say, no company is perfect"
nothing else needs to be said you have proved my point.
You cannot critique on EV cars and in specific Tesla, all you can do is copy and paste from your twitter and or facebook account.
Maybe if you were able to spark a proper debate and be objective about Tesla you would get your section.
cos as soon as someone has some negative to say on Tesla all you can see is OMG this guys hates Tesla, your blinded by your fanboyism.
You cant do it , to you it seems like if you do it some sort of defeat as if this is a game or if you have to backtrack you have lost. Your showing the mentality of a 6 yr old who thinks being wrong is some kind of life loss.
I have asked you to provide 1 criticism of Tesla , as you said no company is perfect and just cos there is things they can improve on doesnt mean someone hates them or they arent the no 1 in their field.
You are unable to do that. you dont get it i specifically re-iterated small points about the company to see if you would be critical in small area's or just admit they couold have handled it better. but you cant . I asked many many times for 1 criticism but your unable to do so. maybe you dont know as much about them as you let on maybe thats why you can come up with a single criticism.
each to their own , continue to keep posting and avoiding the questions posed to you.

pick another criticism then ... one that does not involve Tesla having the customer believe that the design was finished and would be releasing soon before taking in £120m of these peoples money in pre orders, and holding onto that money for up to 3 years and counting.
If you dont want to admit that was poor from Tesla to their customers then pick another one.
go on any one. You can choose how minor or major it is. Although you think holding 120m of customer money way longer than you led them to think they would be without it and making money of the customers money by placing it in holding accounts. If you pass that off as minor I would love to hear what you think of as a major criticism

It is not the big deal you are making it out to be. Tesla wanted to understand demand, and that is why they did it. The interest they might gain is tiny in comparison.
If people want their money they can have it back anytime. Nobody is losing anything.

nyway back to what the original post was about. Tesla have released a minor upgrade, and releasing FSD beta 10.69.1 to a few more testers.
I'm not sure what has improved, but here's another video of it doing it's thing, for anyone interested.

your the one making it big deal by refusing to cricise them for anything ...... if I ask for my deposit back to I get it back 3 years ago or do I get it now? Did Tesla make any money on that £120m?
the fact you see this as such a small issue shows me you dont understand the problem and are not qualified to talk about it.
You are aware that customer DO NOT get their full £100 back despite the site saying you get a FULL REFUND.
If Tesla had went bust last year would I have got that money back then?
Was I made aware that I may have to wait up to over 5 years fior that deposit to be actioned?
Is there a fee for this refund?
Should they be taking deposits off people in the UK when they do not (its unlikely) that the will be selling the truck here?
How long can a customer expect to wait for this refund ... it can take months ! It can take up to 30 days just to process your request of a refund before the actual refund takes place.
Like you said though this isnt really an issue is it?
Can anyone in the world answer me what other mainstream car company can have you wait up to 5 years for a car you put a deposit on?
Again I fully understand that in order to answer all the questions posed above will lead you to talking negatively about the company in some way so you will refuse to do so.... funny that

This is another video of 12.69.1. doing it's thing. There is another upgrade due soon 12.69.2. which is tweaking the software for a wider release.
It is set to be released to the 100,000 beta testers, first. Setting up for the release to all those who have paid for FSD (not just the Beta testers) I'm sure it will still be with the caveat the driver is responsible for monitoring it's performance. But it shows the increasing confidence Tesla have in the system
If Tesla can do this, the huge amounts of data it will gain, will mean the system can improve even more. Ineresting times

Sorry it should be 10.69.1.1. Tesla tweaking the software based on it's earlier performances. So this is actually the second minor tweaking of the 10.69 software I started this post with.
