After Bolton met their match in defeat at home to Sheffield Wednesday bringing the 13 match unbeaten run to an end it's cup action tonight and premier league opposition. Villa a regular fixure in the premier league from 2001 to 2012. The most memorable the semi final first leg in this competition in 2004 when okocha scored that goal in a 5-2 win. A capacity 5000 villa following boosts the crowd to at least 16000 tonight and is live on sky sports. Team news. Isgrove, Sheehan, Toal all approaching full fitness and play for the b team today. Thomason is available after suspension. As we get Dion Charles fit it's sods law Jon Dadi Bodvarsson picks up an hamstring injury and is out for 2 weeks. Everyone else is reported to be fit so plenty of options for tinker man to make changes tonight. I'm expecting Dixon, John, Charles, Thomason, Lee to return to the starting 11 tonight. Also got a sneaky feeling evatt will do something daft like rest Jones and play Aimson right centre back. We will see later. Kick off 7.45.

swie You know what they say about leaving early
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes I know and generally I wouldn't go but the family have just left for home and I need to catch up on my sleep. We have had early mornings every night before going to bed. Out every night except for a couple.
It gets too much for an old geezer like me. Like the Wanderers, I don't have the stamina.

Has Dapo been sold? look at his performances these last few weeks and think about it.

IE finally owns up to Santos carrying a poorly foot.
"Skipper Ricardo Santos also continues to deal with a foot problem despite an impressive showing against Villa"

So Evatt has had several offers of good players because of how we played on Tuesday. The only fly in the ointment might be money.
That will be a problem for some time as we still have debts, although we are informed that they are manageable. I trust Sharon and the board to eventually sort everything out. Under her management, we will not be putting the club in danger again.
If we can secure some of these players, whoever they are, they will need to take a hit in wages as Trafford has. It suits him and the club so let's hope that we have some success in bringing in one or two of these players.

I mean if they want to come to us now they've seen a fraction of what we are about then maybe a good deal for both parties can be reached.
Nice to know that players want to come due to style of play and fans rather than the prospect of a decent wedge.

It's going to be sad for Sadlier, isn't it?
If IE and CM find any improvements, there will have to be outgoings to make room.
Don't forget, on deadline day we are required to chant the old PG mantra, " We are a trading club."

Are we flush? The long trip to Plymouth is being broken, with a stop over and training session in Bristol.
We have a new coach. One with wheels roomier than the previous for transporting the team around.

Another tough game tomorrow and it's away so I won't make any predictions.
We do need a win to stay in contention with the leading pack. As long as we stay within touching distance we always have a decent chance of getting up to the next level.
Let's hope that we can secure a couple of decent signings before the window slams shut.
