I was hoping that this spurious claim had been dustbinned by the relevant parties (administrators and lawyers) telling W to sue or be damned and that W had decided to forget it so that all issues from the administration had been resolved.
Now Derbys Live have a report on the situation with garbled quotes from W's owner basically to the effect that he still thinks DCFC owe him money. He has received some sort of minimum payment based on asset value but lawyers seem to be involved in deciding whether or not more is due based on the sale price for the stadium, ie, should the stadium be included in DCFC's assets to determine the total "due".
To my mind, as the stadium was not part of the administration, I fail to see how its sale can have anything to do with the apparent agreement between W and the administrators to settle on the basis of the sale of DCFC's assets but the report and quotes are so garbled as to amount to gibberish and meaningless waffle.
I was hoping to forget all about administration, EFL, W and Middlesborough, all of that past hassle and just concentrate on the now and the future but W's owner still seems to want his pound of flesh from DCFC and not from the "guilty" party, the EFL. So it still rumbles on. I was sickened to learn that W had received anything at all and the fact that they could get more is galling in the extreme.
