Loved the passion. After ballack he seems to be the first midfielder that loves to tackle people. This red card is just a learning curve but love the fire in this guy.
Kante, Kova are different types of tacklers, not comparing with them.
Connor's challenge

Was awful today even before the red however, as mentioned, nothing to see here. Young player still learning

You need more than enthusiasm to be a Top4 player.
Love the guy but i genuinely can't see him having a future at Chelsea.
Running lots only gets you so far.

He is a good finisher. I think it is pretty presumptions to draw conclusions about any young player so early in their career. Let it play out for a year or two.

He's not 18yrs old 'young' bud..................and i'm not being ''presumptions''
I love the fella but he ran out of steam toward the end of last season.
A Top10 player all day long but good enough to hold a place in any club that can spend at will? I'm not so sure, that's all i'm saying

Maybe a clip around the ear from John Terry and he will be alright !.....but honestly, yes he is still young and learning ,give him time and keep the faith .

John obi mikkel started in similar fashion with us and went on to play for many seasons, but Connor will score a lot more goals

Me neither, but we are only 4 games in. The system we play does not suit him atm. Let's see if he can adapt, learn and improve.

I genuinely wish him nothing but a great future

He will be fine. He has tenacity, Tuchel seems to love tenacious players, look at all the new signings. Gallagher will be the first name on team sheets

So glad you made this post. I wanted to do it myself. Especially watching pundits attack the lad on social media.
Agree what you say OP... loved the passion and high tempo he provided.
Connor is going to be very good for us in the future and we are beginning to understand what TT sees in him.
I think he is a creator , has the ability to make things happen. So happy he is in the squad and will be an important part the project.
We can easily give him a pass on that card yesterday ...as was mentioned earlier... all part of his learning curve. And after going down to 10 men the team did the necessary...perhaps even galvanised by it.

Rashness has always been a trait of Gallagher', at this level has to be suppressed and fast.
Don't know what was going through his head to make such a challenge for the second , when there was cover...
Needs to be smarter, that includes timing his moments to apply the press and trying not to wildly sucked out of position thus leaving a gaping hole in midfield which gets exploited by the opposition.
Also, if one is going to criticise Gallagher for such an absurd error of judgement.
The same should be levelled at Koulibaly which as a seasoned pro was a worse offence.

Gallagher in his element making those third-man movements, have to get him in those positions in the box more often.
Leave the on the ball passing duties to someone else.
