You’re right OP, Elneny will come short over a longer period of time. Any decent team that can play, he will come unstuck. I hope that Vieira guy is capable because I doubt we’ll get anyone else in.

I would really back our chances for PL title but our squad isn’t big enough/has enough depth.

Yeah he didn't do anything wrong, but his sideways passes are slowing our game play a lot. Imagine Partey goes in jail or gets injured and you are stuck with him whole season. He is okay to cover one or two games, not whole season. We need better midfielder if we want to compete with best.

Elneny is a solid pro with a good attitude who is valuable as a squad player - but yes, we missed Partey a lot today.

I actually stayed up late to watch your game as needed Arsenal to score 2+ goals to complete my acca (cheers Gabriel). Your midfield was very good and you controlled the game. The only people to ‘blame’ for the result taking to long to secure were your attacking players being a little too intricate and wanting to walk the ball into the net.

Odegaard though - woah, brilliant player and finally reaching his potential. A year or two more of this and he’ll be rivalling KDB for ability to run a game.

Awfully slow back to front. Elneny was poor but to be fair to him we weren't helped by going 4-2-3-1. The real problem is Tierney can't really play in a 4-1-4-1 and he looked really out of place.

We underestimate how much Zinch has speeded up our transitional game by doing Xhaka's deeper midfield role.

Without Zinch we allowed Fulham to shuffle back into their defensive positions and that made it very hard to create clear chances because the play was always in front of them. It needed the formation change to alter that dynamic.

Arteta for bringing on Eddie and changing it.

Elneny had a solid game in my view. He lacks game time that is for sure. Not sure what people watched at times.

Same goes for KT. He is lacking game time. His confidence is not there if you compare him to Zinny. He will get there no doubt.
