in one of the early cup rounds i would love to see Alonso tried in our striker position. Hes one of the best strikers of the ball we have and is high up on the list of best headers we have, hes physical and likes to get stuck in. He cant be slower than giroud was in our team so why not...

Not easy playing as a striker. He’s a great striker of the ball but won’t offer much after that. Man sheets his pants when pressed so imagine having a CB stuck to him all game.

What TLLL said. Being technically good & being in the right positions to utilize it are two different things, the deeper you are in the pitch the less the second becomes your problem & something for the manager to work out. He'd be the easiest guy to mark out of a game ever.
I might do it for a laugh vs. a L1 or L2 team at home, it would entertain the crowd, but Tuchel would be insane trying it against anyone half decent.

just play him there twice a season against Spurs he loves scoring against them, does it regularly.
