I thought at thetime the sensible thing to do would be to wait for him, rather than Kane. He’s a level above Kane, what a player. Would have loved him to have joined us but it was never going to happen.

Did Ronaldo get replaced by Casemiro? I must have missed it.

But Lewandowski is the best striker in the world and Mbappe is the best forward.

Lewa's past his peak and Mbappe only looks good in the farmers league because he's flanked by Messi and Neymar.

Lewa is still scoring at a serious clip and, in reality, Mbappe won Ligue 1 flanked by an old-Falcao & Thomas Lemar and won the World Cup flanked by Olivier Giroud & Blaise flipping Matuidi.

Lewandowski is a great player, but Mbappe seriously? He has just wasted his talent at PSG so he can sit on a mountain of cash. He also seems to be something of a t0sser.

It’s like Ronaldo in his prime at United. You had to have him in your fantasy team. Everyone did. Didn’t confer an advantage but you were stuffed without him.

Correct... And the earliest you had him in the better

It'll be interesting to see how they rotate him... if they do

Before the season began I was wondering if there was too much hype about him but how wrong I was! He stands head & shoulders above every other Premier League striker (and I'm not just talking about his physique!)

Pep rotates everyone, he has undoubtably the best player in the PL in KDB but he is still rotated. I expect him to play 30 ish PL games but still win the Golden Boot at a canter. As others here have said, keeping him quiet means cutting off the supply from the likes of KDB/Bernardo/Foden/Mahrez/Gundo/Rodri and Alvarez. Not an easy thing to keep 5 players of that class quiet for 90 minutes. It can be done, and maybe will be done, but it won't be done often and putting 2 or more defenders on him simply creates space for others, as Bournemouth can testify.
