Jack Harrison and the World Cup

I like Jack and hope we hold on to him today and he goes on to sign a new deal, an enhanced and extended contract.

He has said he would like to play for England and go to the World Cup.

On his day he is more than good enough but he is inconsistent and some days he just runs up blind alleys.

How realistic is he being and would a move away help him achieve his ambition.

He’s got no chance of going to the world cup.

Harrison has been saying for ages he's happy at Leeds!..

Unless it turns into a Phillips or Raphinha thing I think he'll stay!..

You could see how happy he was at the end of last season, if he'd wanted out then that would have been the time to go!..

Was about to say…his first touch is incredible, also his dribbling and close control top notch. Is he far off the likes of Bowen who is getting caps? 11 games left until the WC, if he knocks in 6 or 7 goals, he might be in with a shout. Hope he stays!

Yeah he is. But he’s not competing for a spot with Bowen anyway. He’s competing against the likes of Grealish, Foden, Sterling and Saka. Then there’s Sancho, Rashford and Barnes if they can find the form they are capable of. He’s way down the pecking order for the England squad.

bowen had better numbers than all but sterling last season. as far as way down the pecking order, he's better than sancho, rashford and barnes.

Nobody in football thinks that, though. Which is why he’s so far down the pecking order.

Yeah, Jack Harrison not being good enough to get in the squad is the reason for that.
