Tuchel

Obviously, it's going to be emotional for some fans with us letting a Champions League winning coach but we have to be realistic, since Christmas we have been pretty awful. This season, our football has taken a step backwards, slow, laborious, no movement and no real idea. He failed to play a style of football to get the best out of Lukaku, similar with Sterling, who has been our best player this season, but who needs a style of play to allow him to create, run at defences, run into space. We just slow the game down too much.

Some people will talk about the timing, but it's no surprise, it would have been impossible to recruit without a manager in place. Tuchel is an old-school coach, too reserved and defensive. We need someone who wants to play progressive football, look to attack and use our attacking threat. We though that would be Tuchel the way we started last season but when we were on top, the team seemed to go back into its shell. We only ever seemed to raise our game against the bigger teams in the more imortant matches. It was as if he just expected us to win the "easier" games and as we all know, the premier league doesn't work like that.

Good luck for the future Tomas Tuchel and thanks for some fabulous memories. But it's time to move on. I hope we get the right manager to bring us along because we have some fabulous players.

Can't argue with much there.

Yep that makes good sense. It's done so we have no choice but to look to tomorrow's magician ...whoever he is...At one point TT was a God to us Blues and many of us will have difficulty in letting go the notion that he was going to have a long successful run.
All for moving on and going with the roller coaster show....

Not sure I would choose Potter before Poccetino though. But if it is a long term view, he would be fine.

Did his best work in his first 6 months, been a long slow decline since and he was a bit of a phanny anway.

A Red comes in peace. Unbelievable. Tuchel has got to be in the top five managers in the world. Totally, totally committed. I disagree with some of the comments made to hear that you’ve been backward since Christmas. I’ve always feared a team managed by that lad, and now he’s gone.

As I Red, That’s one less worry.

Poor old TT! He was left to be the spokesman while the biggest upheaval possible went on around him. He did a brave job, and I was railing against our fans for being impatient. But the football we're playing is deadly dull and slow, when with the players we have it should be vibrant and thrilling. So maybe he has lost the dressing room, and Todd's right.

We probably played our best games against you last season and in normal play neither could win, unfortunately that level of performance was not so common otherwise.

There is no contect to the OP.

We have been blighted for the majority of last season and this season with continous injuries to key players, we had the sanctions and the club ownesrhip takeover.

This was the first season that he actually was given his own players rather than inheriting players and then he gets sacked before he can do anything with them.

I think these owners have so far showed appaling judgment and want to be far too involved. It feels like Gillet and Hicks to me....
