1st off. ..wtf was that first 45 mins? Woeful or worse, in fact I'd say it was embarrassing; gomez looked like a pub player after a night out and even established so called "world class" players are just nowhere near their levels, the likes of:
VVD
Robertson
Milner
Fabinho
Salah
TAA
have been so far far away from their own levels, to me they looked fatigued which is incredible really. The offside system is broke at present, Fulham..palace..utd all got through with ease and scored and tonight napoli just absolutely breezed that back line as easy as you like!
You can't argue Injuries at present...most are back. Attitude and hard work go a long way, time to get that back. Word out to Elliott and Diaz, best players by an absolute mile for us.
Wolves next....least it's at home; reaction needed then it's Ajax I think at Anfield, so it can turn quick but we need those back to back wins desperately!
One positive....we drew the second half

Yeah the positives were Thiago and Matip for me along with Elliott and Diaz; the rest were meh at best.

the thing that really perplexes me is that for the Charity Shield everyone performed to their normal standards. excellent performance.
one week later and every performance since, lack of form, looking exhausted. and not just 1 or 2. half the team

Perhaps, he was awful though. Taa is a tough one to blame, he’s never been a good defender, but he’s delivering the way he can in the other direction then it’s balanced, , but if the others aren’t functioning for him to find…
