Hopefully the club show a lot of patience with Potter and give him time to adapt to CL level club as well as give him the time to bring in his own players. Otherwise there was no point giving him a five year deal. Good luck Graham.

I don't imagine he'll want it if they ask after this World Cup otherwise he wouldn't have risked joining us now. People in football talk, if there was wind of Southgate's position being under scrutiny before this tournament (which I highly doubt) & they wanted him he'd know about it.
One of the benefits of the supposed instability managers have these days is they always get second chances because the turnover is so massive, and unlike players there's no risk of career altering injuries putting a timer on everything, only age. He'll know if he does well at Chelsea, the England job will emerge multiple times.
