Chelsea game

Confirmed off. What a mess this season is.

9 games we have in october, literally nowhere to fit the chelsea game in there. Same thing in nov before the world cup break.

By the time we break for the world cup we will have played 14 league games total 🤣.

Kiss goodbye to any wembley trips this season, Klopp will be binning the cups off.

Turning into a bigger mess than covid seasons.

Everyone will be looking at the EFL Cup now. Many probably feel it should have been dropped (some for this season, some forever).

Personally, I feel they could have done it during the World Cup - especially after the Group Stages. Thats when the Championship returns I think.

But too late now. I wonder if the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and United will ask to play a PL game in the same midweek as the EFL Cup.

Liverpool will probably do what they did when they won the World Cup and the FL refused to more the league cup game. Play the youth team, then play the league game at the same time. However that would need Chelsea's agreement also, of course.

It was a poor decision last weekend but the bigger picture is the farce of the World Cup. Corruption has wrecked the football season for virtually every league.

There are about 6 countries on the entire planet that play their league during the European summer.
