Good response to the debacle in Naples. At least the players were more like themselves; how good was Thiago btw...amazballs!! Different dimension Matip brings to our ATTACKING play as well, those two were superb, other standout players for me were Allison and Tsmiskas, those four key to our win.
Much better going away on international duty after a really really important win. HUGE!

Definitely feel how we do this season is a lot dependent on how many games we get out of Thiago. 30+ I think we're good for top 4 and a challenge at the cups. Less- it will be a struggle.
Also great to have Matip back, so much better than Gomez at pretty much everything.
Right hand side without the ball remains a massive issue though. Don't play until 1st October now, need to get Arthur up to speed.

Squad slowly coming back and the injured players need to get match fit. Also, I think the likes of Fabinho and VVD will now probably be able to play themselves into form by playing for the National teams away from the pressure cooker.

FWIW I thought VVD was far better tonight, not at his best but much better than he has shown this season.
