He's 16 mate - he aint getting a full cap until he starts playing for a first team.

As long as he's better than that Doak Celtic had.

He was very highly rated at that rag of club Celtic. They looked to get him involved with the first team as soon as he turned 16.

Clearly has a very decent future ahead of him

What you mean is club got wind of him prepared not to sign a pro contract so (ab)used the first team squads and occasional pitch minutes to try and convince him he had a real chance up to the point he gave his intention to go at which point he was dropped like a stone cf Dembele (thrice) and numerous others at all clubs.

Happens all the time mate - coaches often get told who to play for reasons other than football.

Totally get that principle but it shouldn't be set in stone. I reckon if you put that boy in that team just now he would fit right in and score goals.
