Danish media have handed Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg a 6/6 rating for his sparkling performance in the middle of the park as Denmark beat World Cup champions France 2-0 on Sunday evening in the Nations League.
Hojbjerg, 27, has enjoyed a wonderful start to the season for Tottenham. Playing every minute of Tottenham’s opening nine games under Antonio Conte, Hojbjerg continued his superb form in the red of Denmark during the break.
One of his side’s best in a defeat by Croatia earlier last week, Hojbjerg covered every blade of grass against France – in what was his 60th Denmark cap. Goals from Kasper Dolberg and Andreas Skov Olsen saw Denmark cruise to a 2-0 win.

Kanes been awful a few times last season and this one. Still wouldn't say sell him. I think conte needs to accept all.players need a mental rest even if they are physically fit

For me he should be phased out. A valuable character and leader, but really we need a CM anchor who is more dynamic and can progress the ball much better. He is great at what he does well but is limited.

And yet he has been more productive than Bentancur but only by one goal. Can some of the bots on here provide some stats to who has the most progressive passes between the two?
I think it could well be PEH but on the eye test in terms of style Bents is better.

As I wrote yesterday..........
Lot of rubbish being spoken on here about Hojbjerg.
He played a solid 90 for Denmark's victory over France,
and was a mainstay in their midfield. Alongside Eriksen he was instrumental in keeping the French in their own half. He started the play that led to the first Denmark goal.
He will be a big factor in our coming win over the Arsenholes.
I will also say this.......
The French are a dark horse in the WC. They can play brilliantly, with MBappe and Greizman et al., or they can lumber around and give goals away.
And I have changed my opinion of Upamecano..he's too damned slow on turn and run back.
Also I think the Danes are going to surprise many Cognescenti...provided Eriksen stays fit.
And of course, also our own Hojbjerg!
