Notice Sonny scored again yesterday this time away at Denmark, that's 11 goals in 8 games for Perkins this season, I think he has now played three matches in total for England U19's and scored five. He has scored in every match he has started for the Whites and England. Definitely one for the futurte
Gyabi also popped up from midfield to score at the death. Darko also looks an out and out prospect.

Kylian Mbappe is settled at PSG, they can offer him Champions League football and we cannot afford him anyway, who are you proposing to Jesse as options for the future in your role of DofF Jonty?

You said Orta's role is to identify talent, that;'s exactly what I did, it just goes to show that's not what his role is.

Yep, hats off to Orta on Perkins, Gyabi, and Gnonto.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep, great, how many Prem points have those three won us so far?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They are 18, it's not an article about the first team but a nod to, hopefully, a bright future.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
the comment was creaming over Orta for these 3.
Let's see them actually do something for the first team before prematurely ejaculating.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A bit crude for you Jonty.
Interesting though, what is Victor's role? To identify the talent, which in the case of these three, he has done. To sell the club and the project to the talent which in the case of these three, he has done or to coach them so they acheive something for the first team.
I never "creamed over Orta" but he certainly deserves some credit when he does get talent through the door regardless of whether they kick on or not.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I give credit too, but right now, claiming these 3 as a success, and you have to remember they have cost us some money and 'forced' us to loan out now of our most expensive players, is premature at best.
Identifying talent is a small part of it.
I can identify that Mbappe is talented, can I be director of football please?
Identifying talent that fits our environment and as we keep getting told, are better than we already have and we actually sign is just the start.
Then them playing for first team and making a difference is another, none of these are doing that.
Should Orta have gotten credit then for Ideguchi through the door but he never kicked on?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes he should get credit for the signing absolutely, once in the door the coaching staff are responsible for developing the player. He is identifying players based on what the head coach wants at the club.
I could be wrong but wasn't James signed because Bielsa wanted it? Was James loaned out to fund the transfer of Darko, Wilf and Sonny or because we signed the likes of Luis and Brendan he was surplus to requirements?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So Orta should get the credit for signing a player whom Bielsa said he didn't see as either first or second choice player at any position at the club?
Did you really mean that?

James was loaned out because we couldnt otherwise afford to bring in Gnonto.
Really thought that was common knowledge, but maybe you missed it, so here it is:

So for every other signing Bielsa had the final say apart from James. Utter nonsense.

And the response was clearly regarding the Ideguchi signing. Two paragraphs two different points. Orta should be credited for the signing regardless of whether the player works at the club, his job is to be with talent recruitment, nothing more nothing less.

if its talent recruitment, then why did he sign Northwick Johnson? Or Firpo? Wiedewald, Cibicki, the list is almost endless.

or Grot, how about Grot, does Orta deserve great credit for unearthing that world beating talent?
Or how about JKA, what a talent he spotted there and what a great deal he negotiated too.
