Mankad

Surely the ball is "dead" until the bowler releases it so how can the batsman be run out when is still in the bowler's hand?

Oops! Just checked...the ball is "live" when the bowler starts his run up, so no probs.

I suppose in Pakistan they don't use the expression "It's just not cricket" for unfairness.
