I have bad memories of Rochdale; losing to them seems the ultimate humiliation and we seemed to have done it a lot, especially when we have desperately needed a win. However, in reality, looking at our recent record, we have actually been quite successful against them.
They have started badly with only one win this season which was last week at Colchester. The highlights suggest that this was well deserved. Their record does have some other encouraging features. They have not conceded more than 3 goals in a game and have only lost by the odd goal at home including holding Orient to a single goal three games ago. Their problem seems to be in scoring, but it is not for lack of attempts.
We ought to have the ability to win however, even if it is without Rowe and Taylor, the latter looking increasingly like an ex-player.
I am sorry this is brief and my other task is to update the DPL stats which I hope to complete later today. Time has been limited recently.
So 0-2 Miller/Hurst
DPL v Rochdale

I was streaming the Rovers on my iPad and Liverpool vs. BHA on my iMac for the first half. Liverpool were terrible (what has gone wrong with them?) and the Rovers were exciting - should have had at least three, if not more. Miller now has the miss of the season!
I stopped watching Liverpool and switched the Rovers game to my iMac. May be that was a mistake as Rovers were not as good in the second half and let Rochdale take over.
Not a convincing win; one cannot miss guilt-edged chances and then get sloppy in defence and expect to beat top teams.

Probably the main positive is GMs found a system that seems to suit the players he has. Plus it was a win without Rowe and Tomlin in the side. Tomlin missing as he has a sore toe and a new baby. Just the thing for a golf away trip!

Nookie,
I would like to know if he played golf with a toe injection?

Or if the new baby was in the golf buggy?

Constant referral to what your phone has to tell you is not one of my virtues, nor is informing the world of my very ordinary activities.
Poor Tomlin - no days off even if you are injured.
I am pleased that the ethic of turning up to support all the teams where I have missed out on selection through injury or indeed lack of form or ability does not seem to have applied in my somewhat undistinguished sporting life.
Mark Noble (recently retired of course) missed West Ham’s match yesterday to actually play in the Dunhill Links with Billy Horschel and came 10th in the team event.
I remember in the days of Alick Jeffrey you used to see footballers in pubs and in Alick’s case at the old Top Rank singing - he had a good voice! What a feast of scandal would they have provided to the modern holier-than-thou fan.

Quite right Donaldo. He's a character for sure and a very talented one too. I remember the Top Rank in Silver Street with affection. Holy hasn't normally been a trait associated with me though. It's different today and I suspect there's more to it. He's a difficult player to manage so plaudits to GM if he gets it right.

I wasn’t really aiming at you Nookie. Despite the fact that a “supporter” is defined as person who approves of and encourages a cause it hardly matches so many who spend their time picking and poking at everything that moves at Doncaster Rovers on the dedicated chat site.
Perhaps it’s not the contributors who damage each other’s and their own mental health by what the obsess about, but if I were a Rovers player I’d steer well clear.
Of course, there are significant sensible, intelligent, balanced, high quality contributions, but the extreme stuff is not at all edifying.

I've just read about the attack on the Rovers' Supporters coaches - what is happening to the world in which we live?
Violence associated with football games is now getting totally out-of-hand.
