Wait, what???!!!

You're telling me Tottenham made individual errors and didn't turn up in a big away game?? You've got to be kidding me!??

In all seriousness, under Conte we've not been any better than Mourinho era, in some cases much worse. The results have masked some really poor performances and getting overrun and outplayed most games

I wouldn't be too upset to see Conte go, but he's probably here for this season so let's hope he drops this formation which only serves to give the opposition the upper hand. Was only a matter of time before results match the performances
Oh and Emerson is a joke of a player and more fool Conte for having faith in him

OP

Spurs lose every season at the Emirates under lots of different managers, so what`s the difference this season. The game was actually lost when Lloris and Romero fecked up, not when Emerson was unfairly red carded.

There is always a major feck up with every Spurs defender and Lloris somewhere along the line.

You lot aren’t getting top 4. Arsenal are better and we are revitalised under Erik.

I hate the football we play, sitting back and giving up possession and playing on the counter. If we had top drawer central midfielders Conte ball might work, but we don`t, we have average players like Hojbjerg trying to boss midfield, which results in us giving up too much possession. Away against the better sides, playing this way is asking for trouble.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Spurs main problem Billy is they have horrendous defenders. Both Romero and Dier are second rate CBs for starters.

Some things never change. The performance and result today had the look and feel of a typical Arsenal away day when they used to finish above us. Hope that isn't a sign of anything although you have to admit they currently do look better than us.

Conte is a younger José. Negative football. At least Arteta and Klopp play attacking football with flair. We are dross to watch these days.

Didn`t Conte`s Spurs beat Arteta`s Arsenal 3-0 just a few months back.

Some of you go into meltodown far too quickly. Move on Spurs will beat them at WHL in the return.

Spurtle, they looked better than us in the corresponding game last season. Means nothing mate. Spurs were 3-0 down in that match, and still absolutely tonked them in the return match.

It is what it is. And in the context of a long season is just three points dropped.

Yes Sandy but you cannot argue with their form this season. Clearly they have improved over last season with signings they have made. Their performances have been more reflected in their results. I would not say ours have, we've been fortunate with results from half-hearted performances.

Totally agree. So typical from the negative's on here ( and no doubt on every online outlet )
We were the away team, playing the league leaders. What did everyone think was going to happen. We were going to take the game to them and attack them at every opportunity ??
Fact is this game came down to one goal keeping error, a missed chance by Richarllson and a dodgy red card that I have seen yellow's given on many an occasion. The ref ( typically ) jumped in with no consideration for the fact this was a NLD with a 60k baying crowd and players hyped up all over the field. His decision effectively killed the game.
Last season, agree we got mullered, but this game ? nah, as the away team playing a top team, we had to bide our time. At 1-1 we were more than in it and were counter attacking on several occasions. Foe me, at that time the game could have gone either way. But, as usual when playing there, all the big moments went Arsenal's way.

And didn't Arteta beat Nuno's spurs 3-1 at the Emirates last season? Didn't Arteta beat Conte's spurs 3-1 at the Emirates this season? Why do spurs fans always act like a loss at the Emirates means nothing and only matters at WHL? What made spurs fans think they were gonna rock up at the Emirates and batter Arsenal because Conte replaced Nuno despite no win at the Emirates since 2010?

And the season before.
It really makes me laugh how football ( rival fans, media, pundits etc etc ) all come out with the "Spurs are doomed" narrative every time they lose a single game.
Predictably we have the McNulty article today, telling us ow the world is ending for Spurs. He does this every time Spurs lose a big game. Remember the hatchet job he did when we lost to a Barcelona team when Messi was in his prime, telling us Spurs are not good enough to be in the CL. Outcome.....yeah, went on to reach the final. Did he retract his article. Yeah, like hell.
Is funny when, at the same time, we have Liverpool, still 7 points behind Spurs.....not even a whisper of problems, much less falling apart. Utd being a complete joke early in the season. Again, we are lead to believe Eric Ten fingers has coached them back to greatness. The early season stuff |? well I guess that didn't happen eh ?
Chelsea. Hardly pulling up trees eh. Yet they have a brand new shiny manager who wheres a suit.....so all is well. Nothing to see here.
Even West Ham. Just about crawled out of the bottom 3 yesterday, but "oh they are sooooo improved under that "win is what I do" manager.

Honestly, I chuckle when all the usual suspects come out of the woodwork and write Spurs off, literally the second they lose a game. Telling all and sundry how it is so much worse when Spurs lose, compared with others.

Oh and as for Arsenal. Ain't it funny how they keep reminding all of us how we always lose at their place. How many times have you been reminded of last years 1-3 result. Yet all the time, the absolute humiliation at WHL last season, and all the other losses they endure at our place most years, are never mentioned. I for one will enjoy looking at the final league table next year, when City are miles clear of everyone and this McNulty "its beginning to feel like real thing at Arsenal" team are miles away. Particularly if Spurs, once again finish above them.
Yeah, looking forward to the McNulty retracted article, but won't be holding my breath on that one.
