1 league title in 8 years under Kloppo. It's not exactly a good record is it?
😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sounds good to me. One more than a host of man utd managers in that time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is it? When we were good we won it nearly every year. Even Ranieri has matched Kloppo. 😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ancient history.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It is looking like Liverpool have peaked with this team.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’d be slow to write them off just off but it’s looking more likely. They were at a very high level for 5 odd years but there has been a drop off in certain players.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The CL win played a massive part in that, as it obviously would. But league wise it must be hard knowing that no matter how good you are, another team would pip them to the post. They are a great team, but todays result is telling. After pulling back (and going in front), a year or two ago Liverpool wouldn’t have let that slip. Today they did. At home.
They’ve won 2,out of 7 games in the league. They haven’t yet shown that they have what it takes to go again in the league.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes I agree. Unless they take an unlikely 4+ points from their next 2 against Arsenal and City I think we can rule them out of the title race imo.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So just City left then.

Arsenal might be good enough to be City’s nearest challengers this season but I doubt anybody other than City is winning it.

Sorry, are people here saying that Liverpool 10 points behind in October are out of title race?
Just no.

Forget LFC Winston, they’re finished this season. Their priority will be fourth place and a cup win.

I think a big thing people are forgetting is that Liverpool will be less hard hit than most by the World Cup. The team they fielded today was still reasonably strong on paper and didn't play many minutes at all during the international break.
City have had a kind start and will have to play Spurs twice in the second half of the season, for example. I think if Liverpool were to lose to City and not beat Arsenal, it would be a long long way back. But I also think that they'll come on very strong after Christmas again this year and not be far away at all come May time.
City favourites for me, but I don't think they'll run away with it and I think Liverpool will still be in the running.

Pretty much this. Liverpool will be OK for top 2/3 but perhaps not at the levels we saw last year or in the title year, or not consistently anyway. Nobody is out of the race in October but personally I don’t think there will be much of a race this season - I didn’t before a ball was kicked.

Just watched MOTD... blimey, TAA was utter sheite.
Klopp was talking last week about the reason he leaves gaps.
If I were him, based on that performance, I'd worry about when he IS in position to defend, not when he isn't.

Deary me. Can people just forget Liverpool already?? They’ve won about one game all season ffs
