Stuart Steven Attwell

If he's still a Premiership referee next week, he's a very very lucky boy.

Why should he have been subbed at half time, he was certainly no worse than a few out there (JH, BA for example) and who would you have brought on.
You don't just hook a player on a yellow.

I wanted to change the wingers over at half time.
Harrison wasn’t effective on the right
Sinisterra is more likely to get an opposition player carded so would have told him to run at the left back who was making his debut.

sinisterra was our best player imo and if the ref is going to give a yellow card for that first offence then at least two villa players should have been gone.
im not saying we were brilliant but we were better than them but for a very biased referee.

I just thought Harrison had a bad day controlling the ball. would have probably had it no matter where he played. one of those games.

I think referees who publicly state their own football club allegience as one that is a fierce rival of Leeds should not be allowed to officiate us personally but then again most rival fans hate us so we'd struggle to get any impartial referee.
Unfortunately we just have to suck it up and hope the old adage of it evens itself out comes to our rescue next weekend.

Attwell is listed as an official Luton Town fan. Don't believe everything you see on twitter.

Or is submitted to 'the authorities'

yeah, do they have to submit affadivits and witnesses?

Having watched the first half again I will hold my hands up & admit Sinisterra's first yellow was indeed fully deserved for a trip far more cynical than appeared to me at the time.

Hinchcliffe's anti-Leeds bias in the commentary however is laughable, and borderline Don Goodman-esque. Just after almost having an on-air fit over Cooper's shirt pull on Mings, he stoutly defends Konsa's virtual assault on Rodrigo in the other box!!

More shocking inconsistency from Attwell when he booked Rodrigo for pleading for a Villa booking a couple of minutes after half their side were clamouring for a red for Roca.

Follows it up moments later by not booking Young for a nasty challenge on Arronson. Awful, inconsistent officiating.

Apologies, it's Aaronson.

Inconsistencies are the issue. Most inconsistencies have an underlying explanation.

The other elephant in the room is the ESL. That issue didn’t just disappear into past history; the compromise appears to be the imperative that the four qualifiers are wherever possible from the same group of six. The only individuals who can assist the FA with that ‘requirement’ are the referees. Is this a conspiracy theory? I doubt it. Wry inch a realistic possibility. Society is riddled with predetermined agendas with preferred outcomes. It is a very naive person who denies the increasing element of prejudices and the decline in equal application of law. What in earth is ‘fairness’ anyway? Exactly, an element fully dependent on predetermined prejudices of a predetermined group of individuals able to enact and enforce the predetermined agenda.

It stinks to be witness to something over which non-compliance is in essence not an option.

Because we had other options - and when on a yellow against a side like Villa, with that ref, it was a sending off waiting to happen.

Just my opinion of course.
