Which football position do you play in?

Okay so I created an article which got great response a while ago so thought I'd create a similar one

Which position do you play in whether it be 5 aside or 11 aside. I don't think 5 aside has any position to be honest.

But anyway, 11 aside I'm a CM. I've been called Jack Wilshere and Messi well I know I'm clearly not as good as them but that's what they call me. Maybe due to my size and my ability to run and take people on.

Best goal I scored when playing in that position was in secondary school (now at uni). The ball came in from a corner and I was standing just outside the box, the ball was headed out and fell plumb at my feet, so I nudged it to the right and bent it top right corner!

I went away celebrating like I just scored in the world cup final! but it was only a game vs the other class in PE But it was the rivalry which caused the celebration

Any stories from your younger days or now?

Started off at RB for my 6th form team because I was always a no nonsense type player who was solid in the tackle and enjoyed the odd burst down the flanks (tho i was never known for my blistering pace!)

Been playing 7&8 side for the last few years and find myself more comfortable in the CM where I love being at the heart of every move. Very much a fan of keeping play swift, simple and on the deck. Have a modest goal record but love breaking up, starting and finishing attacks.

Can watch players like Kaka (in his prime), Scholes, Xavi and Iniesta all day long. Can't wait until Mceachran is given a run in this first XI!

I was CD. There was one team member who always accused me of ball watching. It occured to me several years later that if he knew I was always ball watching, then he must of been watching me all the time
By the way, am loving all the ability of some of you to talk yourselves up as the next Messi. Look forward to seeing you in the prem - can you just make sure you wear your username's on your shirt so we all know who you are

Im a 30 year old goal keeper, play regular 11 a side and 6 a side. Also as some above i am a very Gomesesque goal keeper, great shot stopper, pretty good every where else but have been known to drop a clanger or 2.

And just for terentius1: Not only am i a great goalkeeper i have been known to dribble the entire length of the pitch and score wonder goals taking on all 11 players on the other team TWICE as well as at least half my team, i also take all the penalties and free kicks for my club and have been called up to represent the U30 at intercontinental level as well as box for the Ukraine, all in all im better than both Messi and Ronaldo on their best days

ja606 footy tournament someone organise it so we can show our talents.

Me personally im a bit like fat ronaldo. I have quick feet and a rocket shot but im not the fittest or fastest. 5 a side im supreme as i can pretty much goal hang with a lil burst run here and there. 11 a side im a bit sh@gged come the 80th minute.

Used to play in Div 1 of the Westmorland League a long time ago quite a good standard of football although it was very physical.Played centre half and loved a tackle.
Loved the dressing room banter too as a few of my team mates were Mancs.
Claim to fame played against Matt Jansen and Rory Delap.

Used to play right wing, but as I was born with a dodgy knee, I lost pace and although being quite a tricky player a la Nani, I couldn't get the pace to knock it round and run against a quick left back. So I was moved back into defensive midfield, a la de Jong. Tough tackling and throwing myself infrong of anything. Chipping in with assists and a fair few goals from both free kicks and open play. Right now, I'm a centre bvk in 5 a side, but our team i probably the most attacking team ever, with all of us out and out attackers

I'm a lumbering centre back but with deceptively good feet, and a love of going on a mazy dribble. It earned me the nickname Kaiser in our Sunday league team.

Woefully out of shape now, but I can still produce the goods in 5-a-side. Training myself to use my left foot as one of the best things I ever did.
