9 losses, 3 draws, 1 win. The win doesn’t even really matter as we were playing a Liverpool team that had all but won the league already.
There is no doubt that since Klopp took over Liverpool, we have been their biiiitches. We have conceded an average of 3 goals a game to them since 2015. The only other team that violate us like Liverpool are Man City.
Can we finally end the Klopp hoodoo and get a meaningful win over them this weekend? We probably won’t get a better chance. They have yet to win an away game in any competition this season. Their forwards who have often terrorised us in the past are not scoring goals. Their defence is looking as shaky as it ever has under Klopp, arguably the worst it’s ever been. They were comfortable last night though but against poor opposition.
Obviously we are also playing very well and a win would put us a massive 14 points ahead of them, even with 3/4 of the season remaining, that is going to take a massive effort for them to claw back on us. But the record they have over us will surely be on Titler’s mind and I wonder if he will set us up to be more cautious because of that.
A win would be great and would send a real statement but I feel like it won’t be that easy. Would be happy with a point tbh.

Guaranteed to have a MOTM performance by Trent after all the criticism
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Think he will have a tough time managing Martinelli and Jesus. Regardless of his abilities with the ball, he's still a liability defensively.
How that impacts the result remains to be seen but he's not going to have the freedom to pop up in midfield to boss this game as Ramsdale will happily ping 50/60 yard passes out to that flank.

We should be favourites, and I'm certainly more confident than usual. But I also know that Liverpool will surely come good at some point, and it would be typical that this game would be what kickstarts their season!

If Konate plays it's all about winning those headers and the second balls. That's the way we have dominated you in the last six years. I expect Klopp to change our tactical shape to combat your danger from the wide areas.

That’s not really a fair reflection.
1) We dominated a lot of those games and they did smash n grabs
2) We beat them to win the Shield at Wembley. Allison in tears.
3) We beat them to shatter their dreams of a 100-pt season. Van Dijk in tears.
And probably more reasons.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I knew Liquidated mug would show up here talking shiiiit. We didn’t dominate a single one of those games

Last season it was a 50/50 game and then Laca misses that sitter and then minutes later Jota makes it 1-0. This time round I expect Jesus to be more clinical.

Jesus always seems to score against us too.

It's a good chance to get a win, but it's fooking Liverpool.
Still remember they played a 6 man press to get that second goal at the Emirates last season.

It might send the wrong message but I wouldn't mind seeing Tomiyasu play left back for this game. I can't see us changing the XI that started against Spurs though so 8 or 9 changes tomorrow to keep as many as possible fresh for Liverpool.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Dropping Zinchenko but not for Tierney??? Seems madness, basically playing 4 CBs
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I can't see it happening for multiple reasons, if we have both our left backs fit then it will be one or the other. It's just some funky thinking on how to negate the threat of Salah. However if we can boss the game for decent spells then that will help too and Zinchenko gives us that.
It's not something I'd want to see regularly, but it's an option I wouldn't mind seeing against the very best. Although unless both our left backs were injured then I can't imagine we ever will see it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It only facking happened. Hope it isn't as mad as it looks.

If it works, I'm a genius. If it fails, Arteta is a fool.
