Not sure if just paper rubbish or a strategic leak from Ronaldo’s people but apparently he’s ‘dismayed’ at Ten Hag’s tactics and feels he’s trying to recreate Ajax at United but the Portugeezer thinks we should be playing a different way.
Hmm, if true and I reiterate IF here then Ten Hag has to win this power struggle and get rid of Ronaldo ASAP.
Ronaldo leaks?

Should have let Sanchez go to City too but it seems the clubs board have a serious inferiority complex where they think signing a has been from going to a rival club shows intent. All they really do is say we’ll pay you double.

On Ronaldo, I did warn the Ronaldo fan girls on here this would happen.
We really should have let him go to City.

The one silver lining I see to him staying is that it’s allowed ETH to show the ultimate power play by benching him and showing who’s boss from the start

Ronaldo may have his own agenda to say this but, having said that, it doesn't mean what was said is not true. ETH is not the man.

What he said isn't true. ETH is the man. Good post though

Do you believe we are building a team that can challenge to the title in a season or two? None of the signings he made aren't good enough to start for a decent premiere league team and they will be hard to get rid. If you can't trust a manager with his signings, what is the point of keeping him until things get worse?

Good to know all of our signings are good enough...

There’s no point. They still haven’t copped on.

I wonder if the specific way in which Ronaldo thinks we should play as a team, means he would be a starter? Hmm. Tough question.

I was very surprised when we signed him, and am even more surprised we still have him.
We are, at last, looking to do a proper rebuild, a la City, and a 37 year old doesn't fit that scenario, club legend or not.

If there is a battle of wits between ETH and Ronaldo it's vital the club back the manager on this. Appeasing someone likely to be gone in 7 months over a (hopefully) long term manager would be a terrible look and a bad sign.
Let Ronaldo leave in January with everyone's best wishes and try to get a centre forward in who can offer at least the basics of what ETH wants in his team.

Ronaldo did same too Sarri @ Juventus

The mentallity of the MUFC recruitment department is that they probably actually think that United signing both Sancho and Ronaldo (allegedly and very loosely rumoured) under the noses of City, and City bagging Grealish and Haaland (almost certainly) under the noses of United, makes it 2-2.
In reality and with hindsight it is probably 4-0 to City.

8-0, given relative impacts.?
