The op obviously doesn’t realise how competitive the PL is. Unless you are Man City basically any team can beat any other in their day.

Costa would have been an excellent short term signing in view of the fact the board seem unable or unwilling to make a decent permanent CF signing.

When you are limited by running a suburban tennis club it is hard to see long term. Running a major football club is a different proposition and running a tennis club is not all that relevant. The deputy chairman has a different perspective and he has a paid post at the club.
Is there any owner who could satisfy you?

I don’t see any reference by Jonty to about running a tennis club in this thread. You are the one who brought it up, in a pretty demeaning way, Grey Knight. I think the least you can do here is apologise for your comments and we can move on in a respectful way.

I read Jonty's thoughts. As usual, they are provocative and constructive. That doesn't mean I always agree with him, but I always look forward to seeing what he has to say. After Highland, he is the leading poster on this site. He was here when we were in Division 1. So, when you make personal attacks I think you need to take a deep breath and do the right thing. We all make mistakes. It's important to acknowledge them when we do.

Appreciate the thoughts Marschian.

It's pretty clear when people have an agenda and then I end up filtering them so that they can't ruin my threads with constant vitriol.

I think most people can see these folk for what they are and once filtered I can just ignore them, just sorry their spite ends up spoiling the forum for others, and like any bully when they can't get a rise out of their target, they'll snipe at someone else, but unfortunately we have these types in life.

They tend to show themselves for what they are through their own words. Seen a few examples of that on various threads over the last few days. It's good that there's plenty of people will call them out on it though on here and will continue to do so.

I think most people can see it for what it is.

Whatever you say to someone will have some sort of an impact, so I filter and try and ignore the rest.

When people start setting up fake accounts online to try to discredit, or start whining my neighbours and harassing my family, those are steps too far, but those actions all started from the sorts of comments you see in this forum.
