It’s taken time to fix our defence. I think TAA is a great player but maybe now is the time for him to move into midfield….

Really? Gomez defends the box well but if you play the high line he is your worst defender by some distance

Matip is Virgil’s best partner for the football you want to play but that’s only when your midfield functions

Immense is stretching it. He won’t even go to the World Cup and Maguire will. His game is not well rounded to be a top center half

That was the first time I've seen Gomez have anything approaching a decent game.

He's the Black Maguire.

Gomez was excellent before his injury and then had to sit out as Matip had taken his chance. He's barely played until this season after his injury so it's normal it will take games to get him back to his best.

I was amazed how good we played particularly in defence, the whole back 4 looked solid, Milner and Gomez perhaps not first choice but 5/6 players could have got MOTM

Looked like Liverpool of old, we would have hit Arsenal and United for 5 without reply if we’d have played like that against them

Haaland fluffed his lines from what I saw of it.
